I use an electric razor to shave my head and I have to say that this Braun Series 9 Pro is absolutely the best! I love the Braun Razors and have been using a series 5 which cut very good but It was staring to get old and I wanted to try a higher series razor to see if it really made a difference. I got it on a sale for a little over $300 so I took the leap and all I can say is wow!! This razor shaves even closer than my series 5 and in half the time. I let my hair grow for 3 days and wanted to time how long it would take to shave my entire head and face and I did it all in 7 mins. I get no irritation or any razor burn and it is so smooth with no hair pulling. and with the cleaning station makes it even better and worth the price. all I do is pop it on the cleaning dock and it gets all the hair out and lubricates the blades to keep everything sharp. I was almost put off by the cost, but I’m very thankful that I pulled the trigger. I never had luck with other electric shavers and would get redness, irritation, etc. On the other side, shaving with a manual razor often gives me ingrown hairs. The Braun 9 pro gives as close of a shave as I think you can get with an electric razor. Plus, it cut down greatly on my ingrown hair issue, so that’s been a huge benefit for me personally. Read more
If you’re accustomed to the close shave provided by a blade, this razor offers an equally close shave after a week or two of allowing your whiskers to soften. This is my second Braun Seriew 9, having used a blade for decades. HOWEVER, BE AWARE that the Braun Power Case, which came with prior Series 9 razors and is shown in the listing’s video and graphics, isn’t included with model 9699cc. Instead, it’s an optional item costing $70 that can be purchased separately. (The Power Case was likely replaced by the virtually useless Pro Comfort Head used for facial massage before shaving.) I would have given this shaver 5 stars if it did not cost a million dollars:-) But that said, it is the best on the market! I had an older Braun series 9 which was done after 7 years. Tried a Panasonic Arc5 a few years ago and it was fine if you shaved every day... but after a couple days off on the weekend, Monday morning was a total battle. It took forever to shave. The Braun 9 Pro+ does not care if you took some days off from shaving. It is a beast on longer growth. If you shave every day then a shaver like the Panasonic Arc is just fine. Otherwise, if want to spend a ton of money for the best electric shaver available then go for it!! Read more
It's OK but doesn't cut every hair, I still have to follow up with a blade to get the hairs it missed so big miss there. The extra piece is garbage and does nothing at all, complete waste of the extra money. The dock does a great job charging and cleaning the razor. Read more

After high hopes for a razor which could give a smooth shave while not irritating my skin, I’ve been left disappointed by this razor time and time again. This product particularly struggles on shaving the neck area. Despite trying shaving numerous different ways, this razor continues to leave stragglers on the neck while also giving skin irritation. Several times I’ve had to resort to using my old razor to finish cleaning up. Overall a very disappointing product for the premium price. Read more
