I have never owned or used electric clippers myself but since I grew a beard this winter it was time to try. It has taken a bit of practice to shape the beard nicely but after a couple months I think I got the hang of it. The adjustable depth cutter attachments are a great help. I would not want to try free handing it. As for the clippers, they seem to work great. I especially like that they use batteries rather than having a cord in the way. The batteries hold a charge well, they get through a clipping with no problem and charge back up to full charge quickly. I bought these for the sole purpose of trimming my hair during the pandemic when barber shops were closed. The shops are open again, but I'm still using these because I enjoy them. I watched a few YouTube videos on DIY haircuts and gave it a try. With patience and going slow, you can get good results. These clippers are a nice size - not full size like regular barber shop clippers. That makes them easier to handle and since they're cordless you don't have the hassle of a cord getting in the way. My 1st use took about 1½ hours and the battery lasted the entire time. The clippers are sharp, don't tug and clogging isn't a problem.
