Easy to use, consistent
We had this monitor for several years with no issues until I let my youngest child hold it. She dropped it rather aggressively, and it stopped working so we tried buying whatever was available at local store. We went through 2 different monitors before coming back to this one. It is easy to place in the ear, easy to get consistent placement, and always consistent in readings. Read more

It works for me.
What I like is it's still working mine is consistent in temp reading, but once the AA batteries start loosing juice then you get the inconstancy. A back light would have been an easy design for the price, but I only paid $4.00 used for it a a thrift store over 15 years ago. Since we never have to use thee as often as a coffee maker, always have fresh batteries handy and never leave the batteries in them as they will drain or worse leak. I also have the Thermo scan plus model (with back light) that seems to work well but takes them button batteries. Read more

Great thermometer
I raised three children all of which battled the common ailments that brings fever in children and we used glass thermometers always worrying that the sick and fussy child would bite down or drop the thermometer. My grandson had this Braun thermoscan what a wonderful device! Takes the temperature easily, no fighting or worry with the sick child, it takes the temperature quickly , posts it in easy to read numbers and keeps track of the last temp taken. I didn't realize how wonderful this product was until I had the flu! I would recommend this product not only to parents of children but to adults as well! Read more
