I ordered this item to restock my kitchen. I did not open it or the other small kitchen appliances until my new cab. and flooring were installed. when I did open them... I put them in my cupboard. 2 weeks later I took the blender out to use and it leaked all over my counter, down the front of my cab. and onto my floor. (what was going to be rootbeer milkshakes) I returned it and received a new one the next day (which was wonderfully fast)... but only had 24 hours to make the return... with the new one, I discovered there was a rubber seal that was missing from the first one. I will never hold the items to keep them new..and was disappointed that I had to add another stress factor to my day by taking off work early to get to the UPS store before closing. Read more

I bought this blender so I could make my kid smoothies after wisdom teeth were removed. Aside from the blades, the entire blender is plastic - think of a "my first blender" toy - and I thought I might break it just putting it together out of the box. I did manage to get it together without cracking anything, and it does ok with fresh fruits and frozen yogurt but I am dubious that it can handle much more than that. If you are looking for a good blender for more than occasional use, keep looking. But if you are only looking for occasional use for smoothies or sauces, this is a good value. Read more
