I allowed myself a couple of months of use before reviewing. This is a fantastic combo microwave/oven/air fryer. The oven and air fryer work beautifully. I also have had no issues with the microwave function either. It's easy to clean out. The soft close is perfect. The noise is barely audible. I have to check every now and then to make sure it's still going (my GFCI outlet randomly trips occasionally and needs to be reset. Something about the crappy building wiring. 🙄) My only complaint is the end beep is quite loud even on the lowest setting. Yet, because of the barely audible noise when it's running, I keep the end beep on so that I know when things are done. I have no major complaints. I've made chicken, biscuits, steak, roast, veggies, etc and no issues so far. Before I purchased it I read quite a number of reviews stating it takes longer to heat/cook food. And that's true to some extent but it's not ridiculously so. Adding an additional 30 seconds (1 minute of I want it really piping hot) to reheat a meal. And a few additional minutes to the oven or air fryer. I made biscuits last night and I added an additional 2.5 minutes to the oven time as I wanted them to brown a bit more. Made some air fryer chicken wings and added another 5 minutes. Things cook differently across various appliances, constantly opening the door, the interior size of the appliance, the appliance power and even the environment you're cooking in all play a part in cooking time. You have to learn how to adjust your cooking times accordingly. Read more

As a single person, I often prepare small meals and am not a fan of using the big oven. The Breville Combi-wave is the exact right size and frankly way outperforms the big oven!! The microwave features are the same as any microwave but the other features are where this thing dominates! It also fits nicely on my countertop without feeling like it overwhelms the space. I thought I would put it to the ultimate test - cook a pizza well! I had a medium size (14”) take and bake pizza from the grocery store (not frozen). I didn’t have a pizza pan so I just put it on the little round rack that came with the oven. The pizza hung over the side by about an inch and while cooking it drooped a bit on one side but it held up pretty well all things considered. The pizza was cooked to perfection! Hot melty cheese and an awesome crisp crust (I cooked it for about five minutes longer than the directions suggested.) I can’t wait to see how it performs on all my winter cooking but can only imagine that it will be amazing! I thought this was a bit expensive compared to other, less feature rich microwaves but I couldn’t be happier about the quality and performance!! If you’re on the fence about this microwave - do it, get it, you won’t be disappointed!! Read more

I've hunted for years for a microwave with intuitive controls like this one has. I'm mainly talking about just the microwave feature, although I also had no problem using the controls for the air frying or baking, but my problem there is figuring out which mode and which pan to use and for how long and the temp, which is not a controls issue. Back to the micro controls. You just put your stuff on the plate, stick it in, and push the top time dial for as many times as you need to add up to the minutes, or just once and turn to the right or left to increase or decrease. You can increase or decrease the time at any moment during the cooking, too. You can also increase or decrease the power level at anytime during the cooking (or before, as long as you have closed the door). I do not believe I have ever seen this in any other microwave, and it is super for starting foods off fast then slowing them down if they look like they are getting done but you want the center to cook longer. This is so intuitive and useful! The "a bit more" button is also cool, as it adds more time based upon a percentage of the time previously set. So it's not always "add 30" but might be as much as 1.5 minutes (I don't cook for long in the micro, so I do not know if it ever gets more than that.) But if you press it again, you will get a shorter "bit more." Clever. I do wish there was a button to grill the tops of garlic bread at the end of air frying them, as I haven't figured out how to get the same crispiness of the crust without drying out the inside of the bread as I get on a "real" oven, yet. Neither air fry or fast combi seems to do it, and bake takes as long as a real oven. There is a grill button hidden behind the door for some reason. I will experiment with that one of these days. I guess they figure most folks won't use this as a "grill" which is true, but maybe just to crisp up the top of baked goods? edit: I forgot to mention TWO (2) other favorite features. 1. The fan cool off. I have always left my door open a bit after using microwaves to allow the odors and steam to escape and the inside to cool off. This one leaves the fan on for a short time to do that for you so you don't have to remember to come back and shut the door. 2. speaking of the door, all you have to do to shut it while carrying something with both hands is gently tap it with a shoulder or elbow to get it to move nearly closed and it quietly tugs itself shut! talk about cool!
