I purchased this to travel with formal wear and could not be happier. I recently had to travel with my custom made tuxedo and a formal dress for my wife and the bag managed the process excellently. I packed two pair of trousers, a three piece tuxedo, tuxedo shirt, my wife’s dress, a pair of men’s dress shoes, belt, bow tie, cuff links and shirt studs, socks, underwear and undershirt. The dress clothes all arrived in great condition. I purchased this because it was carryon size as I did not want to take a chance with losing our formal outfits. It rolls very easily, fits in to overhead compartment easily. The additional organizing pockets make it easy to bring smaller items securely. The features inside the bag for holding clothing securely really help reduce winkles. The zippers are all of good quality and are easy to zip. One tip while zipping is to open the folded halves slightly, this makes rounding the corner at the closed end just past the flaps easier. Could not be happier with the purchase. I have owned a lot of luggage and this thing is almost perfect. Read more

Great little garment bag. Works perfect as a carry on and when paired with a back pack I can travel for a week with just carry on luggage. I’ve had several people inquire about it. Zipper seems durable but it is a little hard to close when you first start the zipper in the flex area of bag. Seems really high end material was used in it’s construction. Read more

When Tumi repaired and then lost! my all-time favorite carry on one-fold garment bag and replaced it with a miniature joke version requiring two folds to my suits and blazers, I looked around for something else. Briggs & Riley is well regarded tho I had never owned anything from them. I was impressed by reviews on travel sites and their genuine lifetime warranty even if airline-damaged (not so for Tumi, which isn't lifetime anymore anyway) and so bought both the apparently older (hopefully not discontinued) 2-wheel version and the newer more $ 'spinner' 4 wheel version. For me, after pretty careful scrutiny (but no use yet) I have returned the 4-wheeler for a few reasons, none of which are that I prefer two wheelers, as I 'spinners' are bad for and hurt my elbow b/c of the constant right angle pushing. Here are the reasons: * critically, the 2 wheeler has a tad more interior length, permitting my suit jackets and blazers to be laid out without folding up the bottom few inches. I don't use a hanger. (Frankly, who needs the hanger attachment anymore and I wish they were removable or not included at all since they take up valuable interior space. I frankly haven't ever taken a real blazer or suit to any location that didn't have a closet with hangers). The need to fold my jackets only once was 90% determinative as it's the reason I am looking to replace the Tumi in the first place. * there's a bit more interior space in the 2-wheel also because, precisely, it doesn't have 2 extra wheels which would cut into the corners of the interior as the spinner does. *there's more usable interior space in the 2-wheel because there's less general 'material' bunching up down the sides, top and in the corners (the corners we know why). * the 2 wheeler is 1.4 lbs lighter. That's a biggie. * the 2 wheeler has an additional organizing pocket on the outside of the zippered cover. while not gusseted, it is useful for thin things. * The zipper tails on the exterior velcro down, rather than use a strap and buckle method. My old Tumi's strap & buckle was caught and ripped by the airlines more times than I cared to repair. Not sure why B&R thinks this is better than the velcro. * I am not including that the 2-wheel is +$100 cheaper, as I'd happily pay additional $ for the perfect carry on garment bag. In favor of the spinner: * it has larger and more robust removable corner pockets, one of which has a waterproof front, which is useful. The 2 wheeler's removable pockets don't have the waterproof feature and are a tad flimsy. * It has an exterior rear phone & charger combo pocket (though I can't imagine ever slipping my phone in to a top-open pocket). * somebody out there may prefer pushing a 4 wheeler at an awkward angle to pulling a 2-wheel bag. I do hope B&R keeps a 2 wheel version of all their not-too-large bags (big heavy ones do favor 4 wheels), and also takes to heart issues of interior space -- length particularly -- and weight. Words cannot convey how well this bag has been designed and constructed. Fits overhead compartments easily - plenty of pockets for organization. Suits come out with minimal creases- easily worked out with a little steam from a hot shower. This is the second bag I’ve owned - the first one is am still using but the 4-wheel spinners are a dream. I am so glad I purchased this. I was able to fit a couple suits and dress shirts with ties and my shoes in this very comfortably. I am certain I could get at least one more suit in there if needed without crushing everything. Even loaded this closes nicely. Very well thought out design and use of space. Perfect for a three day conference. Read more
