My teen son loved these shoes, because they are classic looking without being too old-fashioned. He is moving towards liking to wear more adult things, so I was happy he wanted to keep these. They fit very well, as his foot is wide, and he has trouble finding shoes other than sneakers that feel okay. The toe box was relatively comfortable for him. He really liked that they are not flashy, just basic and clean looking. Our only issue was that we had to keep them out in the hall for a few weeks after purchase, because they had a chemical smell to them that took a long time to wear off. That didn't prevent him from wearing them to a formal family dinner at the beginning, but he was self-conscious about it after that, until he stopped noticing the smell (when I snuck them back into his closet). The price was VERY reasonable, especially since he will only be wearing these a few times a year. I'm just hoping that he doesn't grow out of them too soon. Read more
