I picked this skirt up for under $20 at the time of ordering and I’m really happy with it. It has a nice amount of stretch, feels comfortable, and fits well without feeling restrictive. One thing to note is that it’s quite long, which would actually make it great for taller women. I’m very petite, so when worn normally it falls well below my knees. I found that I can fold the waistband inward to shorten the length, and it still sits comfortably without looking bulky. Otherwise, I’d have to pull it up much higher than intended to get it to hit around knee length on my frame. The material is a little thinner, but in this case I think that works in its favor because of the longer length. It doesn’t feel flimsy or poorly made—just a lighter fabric that still feels nicely constructed. One thing I noticed about the color: when I first pulled it out of the package, I actually thought they had sent me black. It’s a very dark navy. I only realized it was navy once I paired it with a black shirt and noticed the inside lining was black, which helped show the difference. There are no pockets, but that’s pretty typical for pencil skirts and not something I expected anyway. Really good basic staple piece pencil skirt in a true black. The material is soft feeling and it appears sleek. It isn't very structured and doesn't have any shape wear qualities to it. The fit is perfect so make sure you reference the size chart when ordering to ensure it fits your body properly. It's a flattering skirt, and I felt confident wearing it. This is cute, comfortable, and fits great! The fabric has a great amount of stretch. It's a good length for professional settings. The 2X fits my 38" waist/54" hips well. Also, the slit on the back did not come up too high on me (5'11" with 36" inseam). However, the elastic band at the waist isn't finished (there's no seam below the elastic), so it doesn't lay flat. In the listing photos, it's flat on the model. On me, the inside flap would roll up a bit. My shirt covered the waist, but I don't think I'll be able to wear it with my shirt tucked in. Read more
