I'm not sure what happened with the bottle of these ear drops that I received. The bottle cap was sealed and the bottle itself was also sealed in a clear plastic bag inside the product's box. However, the sealed bottle was leaking and there was a fair bit (probably 5ml of the 20ml total) of the solution in the sealed plastic bag. That said, this product did help to dry up excess fluid a few minutes after applying about 5 drops in my ear. I had no irritation or pain during or after instilling the drops. For whatever the reason, I tend to have moisture build up in one ear following a surgery --- ran this by the doc and was assured this is completely safe to use in the ear canal --- no open wounds or sores, etc. Seems like the quality is good -- easy to use and no problem there. Immediately out of the box, there is a very strong "rubbing alcohol" aroma--not in an offensive way just highly notable. I could feel the difference, my ear felt relieved and was glad to have a good product that solves a little problem that sometimes turns into a bigger irritating issue. Round $10 for this but well worth it to remove the fluid buildup.
