I use this Marine Collagen Powder daily in my coffee along with Lion’s Mane, and it dissolves easily without affecting the taste or texture. There’s no chalkiness or aftertaste, which makes it effortless to add to my routine. I’ve noticed improvements in my skin and overall wellness, and I love how versatile and clean this product is. Excellent quality, great value, and easy to use…highly recommend. AND you get a lot of bang for your buck. Read more

Helps my hair, skin and nails quite a bit. I've bought this a couple times now, instead of the vital proteins brand (which is also good, but expensive) and it does the same job. Plus no fish flavor. Read more

My initial reaction when I first tried this was, uh-oh, I can't continue taking this. After reading reviews about putting it in coffee or smoothies, I started off with it in my beloved morning coffee and it ruined it. Next, I tried it in a fruit smoothie and ruined that. The fish taste and smell was overwhelming to me in those delivery systems. I actually started dreading taking it until I just mixed it in plain old water with or without a splash of lemon. It's certainly tolerable when you aren't expecting it to be totally tasteless as other reviewers have said. It does not have an extremely strong fish odor and flavor---it just seems to be enhanced in the wrong medium, and for me, that is something sweet. Fish just doesn't seem to mix well with sugar or even unsweetened coffee with milk. However, If I want to completely disguise it, I've learned to put it in something savory where there is no taste competition. It's undetectable in most soups or broth. I think the product is excellent; a very fine powder that dissolves pretty easily in warm liquid. I'd actually be wary if it had absolutely no taste and odor. To get to "none" would probably entail more processing than I would desire. So, bottom line, I think this is a good product at a decent price from a good company, but we're all different and have to find our own best ways of taking this product. Read more

I am giving this 5 stars to keep the rating the same; I will use this for a while and update my review as needed. I generally do this with a lot of products - things can turn out much better or worse than I originally rated them. I knew I wouldn't be able to choke down any beverage with even a hint of fish in it (although I will try it later in a vegetable broth and update with that result) so I added two teaspoons to my smoothie tonight as a test. My smoothie is simple: 1 c almond milk, 1 c spinach, and 1/4 each of frozen blueberries and frozen mixed berries, along with a couple ice cubes. I tasted it, then added two level teaspoons of the collagen. I could detect a hint of *something* but it wasn't bad, and I think really it was the combo of the collagen and almond milk that I didn't care for. I then remembered to add a tablespoon of lemon juice and voila, it was perfect. Zero collagen taste, and the lemon trick works really well in fruit smoothies to counter the lingering almond milk taste and I believe it works on the faint fish taste. (I don't like it in a smoothie, only in cereal.) Thankfully it also works with fish collagen! I will try to dissolve a serving in hot water and throw it into a cup of cold water with a generous squirt of lemon and see if the lemon works well enough to drink this stuff down plain. Honestly the very faint fish taste isn't enough for me not to use it. I don't eat beef or pork so 99% of collagen on the market is out for me. I was super happy to see this and have read in two studies that fish collagen is more bioavailable. I'm taking it because I cut out meat almost entirely - I have maybe 4 ounces of chicken 3x a month and in the past when I did this my nails broke, my hair got scraggly, and I ended up going back to eating it. Beans and tofu and tempeh are great, but I don't think they're giving me everything my body needs, and I hope the collagen will take care of that. I also hope to get a bit of relief for pain from walking 10,000 to 16,000 steps a day 5x a week at work, in shoes that aren't made for walking that much. I will update either way in a few months. UPDATE: I contacted BulkSupplements through their website and told them the problem. I got a quick reply. They offered me a $25 credit to spend on their website even though this item costed $40.96 before tax. Oh well. * This was my eighth bag of this collagen. The previous seven bags were filled with white collagen that had little or no odor and taste. This bag is filled, though, with yellow collagen that is vomitous & unpalatable in both smell and taste. Unfortunately, for some reason, it’s not eligible for a return, therefore I will not be ordering it again and will resume getting Amandean Marine Collagen, which is twice as expensive but always tasteless. I have used many products from Bulk Supplements for many years. This is the first problem I’ve had with one of their products, and it’s a doozy. Yuck! Read more
