Say goodbye to buying new mouth guards weekly if you have a sensory kiddo. These are a game changer. Before we found this mouth guard we would go through a month guard every practice or every week (3 practices). Omg it drove me bonkers. We bought one of these a YEAR AND A HALF AGO and now we just purchased a new replacement. I’m in absolute shock it’s lasted a year and a half. It’s super easy to reshape as your kid grows and their mouth changes. My sensory kiddo loves that she actually forgets she is wearing it. Excellent mouth guard. Followed the video instructions and the fit is perfect. I was concerned at first about the material because it’s much harder than my traditional mouth guard. I’ve now used it for several weeks in sparring and rolling without any discomfort or issue. Everything is easier with this mouth guard due to its slim profile. I can talk easily with the mouth guard in place and not sound like a mush mouth. Getting a drink between rounds is also much easier. I felt like I was suffocating when wearing my old mouth guard. I have purchased many, off the shelf, boxing, contact sports mouthguards in the past with not the greatest results. Part of the reason is that one of my front teeth are not lined up straight with the rest of my teeth, due to a bicycle accident when I was younger and never getting braces to correct them afterward. The other mouthguards I have tried were able to mold, however did not click into place and stay like they were supposed to. I had a custom one made from the dentist, which fit great, but were very expensive. Once I saw this product, the Bullet Proof Mouth Guard, I decided to give it a try, as it was priced very decent and according to some of the videos I researched, could be remolded if it got messed up (I've done that in the past as well). I have to say, that after following the video instructions, I was able to mold the mouthguard correctly and even make a few minor corrections and adjustments without starting over. To my pleasant surprise, this mouthguard clicked in perfectly. It stays in place until I need to take it out, just like how a mouthguard should fit. Because it is thinner than some of the others I have tried, it is very comfortable and doesn't cause me to feel like gagging. I haven't taken any hits to the face with it on yet, but I definitely feel it would properly support and protect my teeth if I was to take a hit. Thanks for making a great product! Read more
I have been using this (white) mouth guard since January 2024 (it is now August 2024) so a solid 6-7 months and the only wear I have noticed is mostly in the concussion rail, and that is partially due to the fact that I tend to grind and bite a lot when concentrating. The size and fit overall is perfect for me. Overall performance is spot on and perfect for Jiu Jitsu! It is a bit of a learning curve for fitting but it is remold so I never felt like it was unreasonable to manage. For ease of cleaning, it is a mouthguard so it is going to be difficult to clean but I have found that soaking it for a bit in hydrogen peroxide and brushing it with my toothbrush helps it stay clean. I did choose to get a darker color (when purchasing my second) for this reason as it does tend to yellow a bit and I am hoping that the darker color helps that. Value for money is extremely important to me and the fact that I can justify having two is pretty big. As I said the only wear on the original is extremely minimal, I wanted two though as sometimes I loose things… and I wanted a back up.🤷🏻♀️ One thing I would like to see change is if the company would include a carrying case with it. Before you begin, watch the video on their website at least twice. I used a digital food probe to make sure the water was exactly 160F and followed instructions. The first try was a fail as I did not align the mouthguard correctly and it was way too tight. It's easy to refit however, just drop the guard back into the hot water and it will reset to its original flat shape. I would recommend to avoid "sucking" your teeth too much or it will probably end up being too tight (read this in another review). It shaped perfectly on the second try and it's easy to take in & out now! It feels great and you can easily breathe, talk, and drink with it in place! It's a perfect mouthguard as long as you follow instructions which might mean having to refit it a couple times. There is no easy way to obtain a custom fit mouthguard unless you want to spend hundreds+ at the dentist. Some patience and concentration will ensure you have a great fit. Good luck! Read more
Man it was late. That’s bad. It works. Just don’t expect it to show up on time. I have had this one for a little while now and I have had to re-boil it once. I like the mouth piece, it felt like it got tighter after about two weeks of use. But it stayed in while I was caught in a mean cross face. I think the concept and quality is good - problem is execution. It's tricky to get it set right and it wound up getting deformed, and not formed properly. Only really get one crack at getting it right and we didn't. 22 bucks down the drain. Again - I think if we were able to get it set right, it would be a great mouthguard, but too much can go wrong with setting it up and we unfortunately threw 22 bucks down the drain. Read more
