UPDATE 5 years in : this belt still looks like new! I did lose 160 pounds in 2005 and had to use a leather punch to create new holes and it still is not damaged. As it is thick leather and not laminated it still looks new, has the original finish. There is no delaminating issues as it is solid leather. There is no cupping or edge rolling, it is the last belt I will ever need to purchase. I wear it every day and it still is like new. UPDATE 3 years in - September 23, 2023- this belt is still in brand new condition no twisting no warping no cracking no aging at all and I’ve been using it as an every day belt for three years. I am at 440 pound man and big guys are rough on belts. This belt has proven to be the best belt that I could ever imagine. Are used to be buying belts at big buck stores, on a monthly basis, they were laminated with paper and cardboard and rubberized. None of that this belt is thick, solid leather. This belt will hold your holster. This belt will hold your nice knife sheath no matter what you need this belt will stand up to any abuse you can give it . I left it in my suitcase on a trip to the keys from Orlando and it rained and soaked the suitcase, I left it in there for a couple of days and a little bit of mold, kind of formed on the surface. I, simply why did off with a rag and it looks brand new again. This is the best belt ever if it is a big man’s dream ice can’t stress it enough. I am serious about this big guys get this big belt now and take the belt search out if your life. This belt is all I wanted it to be. I’m a 48” waist and had problems with belts twisting, stretching, splitting, and breaking. This belt is thick, real Leather, one piece genuine thick stiff leather. The buckle can be changed out and is held in place by heavy duty snaps. The belt is stiff so it holds a big guys heavy pants in place. I searched years for a belt like this and am hoping my review helps others understand that this is the one that you have been hoping to find. I bought all of the name brands and they lasted a couple months, tried them all and each one quickly delaminates, stretched, peeled, etc.. I could never understand why leather disappeared and belts were now plastic or leather wrapped cardboard. Those other belts used to but into my skin damaging and sometimes causing bleeds. I would tighten the belt so tight as they always were very stretchy and had too much give. This belt is so thick and real leather that is one ply THICK so I only tighten it to my size and no slipping, it stays the same size, no stretching, no painful digging, no having to undo it to drive. This belt is comfortable, dependable and injury free. You won’t need to be making new holes because this one is solid and not stretching. If your buying this belt as a gift for a fat guy just get it, he will forever remember you For getting the perfect belt. I have had this belt for six months, worn daily and it still looks and performs as new. This belt has enabled me to get a stable feel for my weight and I am starting to lose weight. I attribute this weight loss to having the belt that enables me to understand my waist size, sounds silly but it’s true. Stretchy belts with low support only frustrate and make a guy feel bad about himself. This belt lets us have a little more dignity. UPDATE: October 6, 2021, 10 months later and the belt shows no wear, strong and rigid as day 1, no side cupping, no splitting, no chipping, nothing negative to say. I actually bought a second belt fir a buddy of mine, his shoes no wear and just as satisfied. I cringe thinking if all of the $20 and $30 crappy belts I’ve thrown away over the years after only a few uses. The made in China era certainly cost me tons of money. This is the last belt I will ever need. I’m 54 years old and am sure this belt will long outlast me. UPDATE MAY 3 2022: My belt still looks brand new after daily wear for 17 months now. No chipping, no cupping, no stretching. UPDATE SEPTEMBER 8, 2022: This belt still looks brand new, no issues at all, still very durable and it is worn daily. UPDATE JUNE 16, 2023: The belt is still in like new condition and I wear it daily and tight. The holes do not even show any wear and it seriously is the last belt I will ever need. I am rough on belts like all big guys are yet this is still a like new belt. Gift this to any big and tall guy and help him find this must have belt.
