Hard to find an item like this. Stumbled across it on another site. The first I received was defective. Not sure if it was shipping damage or a QC issue. The second hand was bent slightly and rubbing against the minute hand causing the clock to stop. Took a chance and ordered a replacement. The replacement did not have this issue and has worked flawless for the past few days. Purchased mostly for travel. Little large but a smaller clock would be much harder to read at a distance. Like the automatic light sensor that turns on the illumination when it gets dark enough. Can't speak to the longevity of the batteries, but as a sometime travel clock it should not be an issue. I really like this clock. Quiet & the blue light is not overbearing if you want it on. Keeps decent time & wakes me up a bit earlier no matter how I set it (maybe 10 minutes), but that's okay by me. I am happy with it. Recommended. Read more

My visually impaired Mom likes this clock because it has large numbers and hands and she can read it. However, as it gets bumped around a good bit, the hands come off the stem, especially the alarm hand. After fixing it several times, I ordered a new one from Amazon. It arrived with the alarm hand already off the stem. I ordered another one and the hour hand was off the stem. I returned them both for a refund. I bought one at a local clock store after checking the hands. I suspect the clock mechanism is not supported well enough inside the clock body, and with a minor impact, from shipping or usage, the mechanism moves away from the clock face and the face pulls the alarm hand off the stem. Unfortunately the body appears to be glued together, so I can't even attempt to fix the root cause of the problem. But I will keep buying them locally as long as my Mom can read them. Read more
