I really like this air purifier! Itâs quiet! I like the fact itâs not just cleaning the air. Most filters only clean the air and this one does more! The negative oxygen ions from ozone make the air seem less dry and Iâve noticed I breathe better than with the previous air purifier we had. I know the filters cost a little more but I really feel like itâs worth it for what this machine does. Read more

Like millions of seniors, Iâve spent years chasing a good nightâs sleep. Iâve tried various sleeping pills and supplements, only to be met with unpleasant side effects and concerns about long-term cognitive health. Determined to find a safer, more natural solution, I stumbled upon an article titled âHow Negative Ions Can Improve Your Sleep Quality.â Curious and hopeful, I decided to give this negative ion-generating air purifier a try. Since placing the device beside my recliner, my brief 30-minute afternoon naps have evolved into deeply restorative two-hour escapes. At night, I now enjoy over seven hours of uninterrupted, rejuvenating sleep-waking up feeling truly refreshed for the first time in years. Whatâs more, this purifier doesnât produce that harsh, ozone-like odor common with similar devices. Instead, it releases a soft, forest-like breeze that quietly fills the room with a sense of calm. This simple, natural addition to my routine has been nothing short of transformative. Read more

Wildfire smoke and city smog are prevalent where I live, and some days we have bad air quality days that are so bad that ashes are literally falling from the sky. Having a good indoor air filter is a necessity where I live, and the BURTRAN Nano-Oxy⢠HEPA 14 Air Purifier absolutely does the job. After running the filter for just a couple of hours, I already noticed a difference. Although I have a whole-house HEPA air filter and smaller ones for the bedrooms, itâs still not enough. However, this air filter does a fantastic job filtering my main living area. The filter system claims to cover 1360 square feet per hour and can provide up to PM2.5 and TVOC filtration. These are the ones that most masks wonât even filter. Similar to my whole-house filter system, this one also utilizes a negative ion system that helps trap micro particles in the filter system. When you take off the front panel, you can see the electrodes that connect to the filter. This system creates a static electric field that attracts particles, allowing them to be filtered. The system also includes multiple filters (that you need to remove the plastic from before using it!) It has a display that monitors a âemulatedâ Negative Oxygen Ions (NOIs) and the amount of PM2.5 captured in real time. The description mentions that it also displays Total Volatile Organic Compounds (TVOC), a VOC level indicator, but mine didnât show any. Maybe the next time I paint something will be displayed? Iâm also guessing that the NOI estimate is calculated based on the amount of air pumped through the unit. There are multiple settings for air speed; however, leaving it on automatic will typically do the job. It can be cranked up if you need to cycle air really quickly. The unit features direction dampers that automatically open and close, along with sleep and timer settings. By default, a bright blue light is on, but it can be easily turned off if you're in a bedroom. Also, on the automatic setting, I wouldn't even know it's running so silently. The unit is about the size of a square fan, and its lightweight design allows it to be moved to different locations in the house if needed. Cons: There are minor complaints. This is a fantastic air filter, and you should get it! There doesnât need to be an app for everything. Iâm tired of it, and Iâm not installing yet another app on my phone. Itâs unnecessary, and the unit works well without it. Replacement filters are expensive. Looking at the Burtan website, itâs $120 for a set of filters. I suppose thatâs much less than the $300 for the whole unit, but itâs something to consider for ongoing ownership and maintenance of this filter system. Conclusion: Overall, I donât have a lot to complain about this filter system, and I actually praise it for the quality and filtering capability. It offers capabilities that none of my other filters have, making it a step above the rest. The brand claims to be founded in Thousand Oaks, California, which is a win in my book for being at least being designed in the U.S. and from folks who, unfortunately, also deal with as bad air quality from wildfires as I do!
