Solid range finder! Picks up the pin very quickly and gives very accurate distances. With previous range finder I was having problems with trees behind the pin that was getting picked up. Bushnell quickly picks up the pin and gives instant distance. This is the best range finder I have owned and I have used 4 or 5 different devices previously. I love it. It may be priced higher than most range finders but in this case "you get what you pay for". It's worth the price. Read more

I purchased the Bushnell Tour V5 after I returned a Nikon Coolshot Pro Stabilized rangefinder. The Nikon rangefinder was small, very lightweight and didn't feel durable to me. It worked fine, I especially liked the image stabilization but I wasn't confident of the long term durability. I purchased the Tour V5 in it's place because I read that it had improved optics from the previous model, and it added a visual jolt to the vibrating jolt. The unit feels much more solid, has good weight to it, has a nice rubberized case and fits really well in my hand. The viewfinder is 6X magnification just like the Nikon, and appears to be just as bright. Because the Tour V5 is heavier and fits well in my hand, I don't have any issues with any hand shake and being able to target the flag or any other landmark. I also prefer the visual and vibrating jolt on the Tour V5 over the visual only target indicator on the Nikon. I also really like the bite magnet on the unit. It's very convenient when riding a cart. I bought the Tour V5 without the slope function because I never really used the same feature on the Nikon. Other reviews have mentioned issues with the jolt not working all the time. The instructions state that jolt only activates when there are multiple objects in range. If the flag is in view without other targets behind, jolt will not activate. The reading shown without jolt is the reading to the target. Overall I'm very pleased with the Bushnell Tour V5 and recommend it over the Nikon Coolshot Pro Stabilized. I have used the V3 and V4 models. The V5 is smaller and lighter and locks on much quicker that earlier models. The jolt feature works differently than earlier models. It locks on so quickly that you have to aim poorly to get the jolt to activate. Read more

I bought this range finder after having lost my previous one. The previous one was smaller and lighter. I could drop it and it woul dbe fine. Honestly it was a bit easier to manage. This one is a bit bulky and heavy. The quality is good. I do find that the LOCK ON function requires a steady hand and isnt as reliable.. the distances are accurate. I just feel this one is heavier and could break if accidentally dropped. I did get a protective covering (sold seperately) . This product does come with a nice case, but having to open it and close it does get a bit tedious. No issues with product just concerned about accidentally dropping it and how it may handle. With the protective covering I bought for it hopefully that will shield any vibrations it may take if dropped by accident. Update: This device has a red laser like light that comes on when you lock the target. I have found this red light is impacting vision in my left eye some. I do not see a way to turn this feature off either. So Ill likely replace this product with one that doesnt have this bright light in my eye. Read more
