You have to add butane to the lighters because they don’t come with any due to the transportation safety regulations. So after adding butane to the lighters, two of the four did not work. So if they send them without butane due to transportation, safety regulations, how can I return this product when I have filled them with butane. On top of that these are probably the crappiest cheapest looking lighters that I have ever held in my hand. Not an expensive product, but pricey enough to expect some type of quality. What the hell! I was looking for a simple, durable, and low profile torch with a genuine micro flame for precision soldering and jewelry work. And out of the multiple I purchased within a 2$ price range this one is hands down the best one considering the following criteria: -quality of materials -ease of use -simplicity in design -flame consistency and size variants The only thing preventing my giving a 5 star rating is due to the abscence of a lock allowing some relief for extended periods of use. The lighter is cool, but not reliable. Hard to light and rarely stays lit for any legnth of time. Doesn’t work on high at all. Turning the flame down helps. It might be an altitude thing as I live in Denver. However I do have jet style lighters that work fine here, but they don’t work at all up higher in the mountains. On my next trip to a lower elevation I will test it and update the review. Read more

I liked this product when I saw it, nice design and size. However, I bought the first one and it stopped working after the first refill. I thought it must be a one off so I ordered 2 more. Same problem!! The first fuel fill works great and after that they won’t catch the spark. Read more

These look good, but do not work... In filling each of the four that come in the set, every one of them were difficult to get a decent seal with while filling. Butane everywhere... I used a name brand butane source, (that works on several other Butane items I have), so it is not the filler tube on the source of butane. I finally got all four filled, and tested, wasting lots of butane. Two refused to light, (with visible butane in them) and two worked, then failed the next morning, even though I could see Butane in both. I will bleed off the butane, and then return these to Amazon. We use candles, do a lot of grilling, and like to have campfires, so this little guy is getting a workout. Right out of the box, the lighter felt sturdy. It was easy to fill and my husband had no issue adjusting the flame size to get it to light consistently. (If yours doesn't light easily, try adjusting the flame!) It is easy for me to light and I like that you have to hold the lever to keep the flame going, or I probably would drop it and set my carpet on fire at some point.
