I gotta say, for the inexpensive price, I was definitely not expecting a refillable extension butane lighter of this surprisingly high material and build quality. It definitely feels like an excellent quality product in your hand. The gooseneck extension moves very smoothly and holds position exactly as it should. The igniter slide button has very little side to side play and strikes with a firm and intentional/solid click feel. Definitely not sloppy like the others I have tried. The flame height adjustment knob on the end of the handle is also nice and snug feeling and works perfectly smooth. The turning action of the flame height adjustment knob has just enough slip tension so as to not allow the knob to turn while shifting your grip, but not so tight that it’s hard to get a smooth adjustment. The fuel level sight glass is definitely a nice and convenient option. Just remember that while holding the lighter and filler can inverted to fill in the downward direction, when upside down like this, full actually looks like 75% full. Once you flip it right side up, it will indicate full. I ALWAYS use a multi times refined fuel in both my mini torch and these lighters to get proper flame consistency and not allow them to get clogged which ruins them. Once that clogging happens, the unit is junk. If your butane lighter or mini torch doesn’t want to light reliably anymore or just won’t light, or, it can’t seem to hold a steady smooth flame, it’s most likely clogged up from using low grade drugstore butane (assuming your flame height adjustment knob is positioned on its center pin correctly to access the broader range of flame heights). I use either 11x or 14x refined butane (which you can buy here on Amazon) and I have never had a refillable butane lighter or mini torch clog up or lose its perfect flame. It also makes for a hotter flame as well since it is a much cleaner/more pure fuel with no impurities to burn off. I put the 14x butane into this lighter’s tank and upon the first strike immediately after wiping it down after filling, it immediately had a perfect flame. I literally filled it, wiped it off, and hit the button and it pushed out a flame on the first click. Nice. As you can see in the pictures, I placed a tape measure next to the unit as well as held it in my hand so you can see the relative size. I have pretty big hands so as you can see, it’s not a tiny chintzy little unit. It feels nice in your hand. As mentioned previously, it puts out a perfect flame and the flame height adjustment works perfectly. The color ordered was black, but as you can see in the pictures, it’s more of a deep gray color and the metal is a black chrome. Personally I much prefer this color scheme to an all black. With this color combo and the excellent quality feel in your hand (and even the box it comes in is of a very substantial and heavy weight construction!!), this unit is definitely a bargain. I have only had it for a short time and have used it quite a bit. But being a total whiner crybaby about having to have high material and build quality in what I purchase, from this habit you become to realize that products of this stellar quality just last and are reliable. If I experience any downsides, I’ll be sure to come back and adjust my impressions, no doubt. But for now, I think it’s quite obvious that if you’re looking for an extended length and adjustable angle refillable butane lighter, I HIGHLY recommend this specific product over a number of others I have tried both cheaper and far more expensive. This Megainvo model MG019 is literally perfect in just about every way for it’s intended application, but happens to also be an excellent value for the price!!! Hope all that helps!! Read more

Worked great until it didnt. After a couple months of occasional use, the lighter would sometimes stay on after releasing the "on" trigger. It got worse. I've had the lighter for 1 year and now I would say it is unsafe. With the butane setting all the way on low, It rages like its on high, and stays on after it should be off everytime. A full tank hardly lasts anymore, and I can sometimes hear the butane hissing out of the torch end. Basically the valve and regulator do not work as they should. Read more

It is solid, look good. I can see fuel level. But the flame level not working properly, if turndown too low it won't ignite anymore wind can still blow off the flame. So in the long run I do not know how long it will last. Will it will be worth the money. Read more

We live in an area where there are a lot of Black Widow spiders. They typically come out at night and hide under lawn furniture around potted plants, etc. My wife has been using the long wand lighters that are sold for starting BBQ grills. Problem was, they do not have any "velocity" to the flame. My cigar lighters have the needed velocity but not a long wand. Enter this torch lighter. It has the velocity and the reach to get into the areas where the spiders hide. The lighter is well constructed, refillable and the flame can be adjusted. The flexible wand is also a big plus. I am sure that this lighter will work for other purposes just as well as it does for our. I heartily recommend it with out reservation! Read more

I got this lighter for our fireplace and so far it has lasted more than 3 years! I wanted a lighter that was more stylish and modern looking, as we usually keep it near our fireplace. I love that it is refillable and the flame doesn't go through butane fast. Read more

This lighter is nicely constructed but doesn’t stay lit. It goes out even if you do t turn it off which is very strange. I bought it to start a fire so I need it to stay lit till the starter wood is lit and it takes three times at least if not more. Sucks Read more

The torch looks nice and feels well built. It does not come with butane, so I purchased some. With the torch inverted and the butane canister over it I proceeded to attempt to fill the torch while looking at the fill window. I could see the window at 1/3 full and it stopped filling. The instructions say to do this several times, and I did, however it would not fill past 1/2 way. A video I watched showed how to fill the remainder. I pushed the fill orifice with the tip of a pen for a second to allow air in the torch to escape, then fill with butane again and it instantly filled up!! It worked! I waited 10 to 15 seconds for the butane to normalize, then clicked the on switch….nice flame!! And the adjuster works too!! Great start! Now we just have to see how well it works on down the road!!
