I learned of this cover-up via an influencer on YouTube, and thought I’d give it a shot. It did not disappoint! The fabric is nice and soft, the design lovely, and it covers just the right amount. The style is feminine and pretty detailing. A major upgrade from the terry cover-ups of the past. Sheerness: you can definitely see a swimsuit under this cover-up. It’s more of a ‘make it more appropriate’ and ‘feel less naked walking around’ thing. I would not wear it into even a casual restaurant. It is medium weight. On a hot day, you’ll be ready to take it off and get in the water. Fit: It is roomy throughout, but on the short side. If you don’t want your mid-thighs showing, this is not your cover-up of choice. I am only 5’5”, and I would not have wanted it any shorter! Washing: I machine washed and air dried, and it came out very wrinkly. The next time I washed, I then put it into the dryer on delicate for 5 minutes or so, then put it on a hanger and draped it over a stool to dry. This left it looking much nicer. Hope this helps! I am 5'5, 190lbs, 40DD and it fits like a dream. Lightweight, flowy, covers the tummy and bum. You could wear as a coverup or a summer shirt. Buttons all the way down. Only con: a little tight in the arms, armpits when I bend over when it is buttoned up all the way (last picture). Small price to pay for such a beautiful shirt!! Read more
This cover-up was so cute and I really, really wanted to keep it, but I had to return it because it was so big. I am 5'1 and under 110 lbs and it looked like I was playing dress up in it. I thought it was so cute on my 5'4" daughter. Not at all sure it is 100% cotton since it ironed up and felt like rayon. It drapes more like rayon, too, which I find better for this type of thing. You will have to iron this once it gets wet. The construction was secure- no loose threads. I saw one comment on the fabric showing through the lace, and while this is true, it is on the bottom of each lace piece, not the top. I don't know how they could make this at this price without the fabric showing. Because of the gathering, It would have to be hand cut and sewn a second time other to avoid that. I rarely give a bad review but I had to on this one. This item looks so cute in the picture. I thought I would love it. It arrived so wrinkled and that it looked like it had been under heavy weights for a long time. It was not folded. It was rolled in a ball and stuffed in a bag. Ok, so no biggie if it is nice. I can always wash and iron it. I went to put it on. Now it is a one size fits all. I am average weight and height. I normally wear a size 10. I slipped it on and the shoulders were really tight and tight across the. Best. Doable but tight. Once I looked in the mirror I realized that it was huge across the waist and hips. It looked like a moo moo. Worse yet, it went right to the middle of my hurt. It would never cover a swim suit bottom. It quickly went back for credit. I read reviews and though I would take my chances, reviews were mixed. This is not a one size fits all product. It is smaller than it appears in the pictures. the sleeves are 3 quarter length not long. The length of the dress is more like a top. I am 5'8 and it barely covers my behind. This item is really cute in the photos and is reasonable priced. I was excited to order it. But in real life: I'm pretty average build - 5'6" /135 lbs / usually a Size 8 / 36C. Item Comments: It buttons down the front. The fabric - which is supposedly 100% cotton - is soft but terribly wrinkled - not even sure if you could ever get it smooth with ironing it. Item tag says made in China. Its way too short - barely covers my rear (i was hoping to wear it as a casual pool cover-up dress). It's very thin and see-thru. It's already tight - across my back and shoulders - and I haven't washed it yet. It only comes in one size. If you are a size 4, are short, and have a small chest - this will be cute on you and will still fit after it is washed. Read more
