The media could not be loaded. 👠 Great addition to an existing smart home, Quick & Easy Install I was grateful to receive this smart plug as a great addition to my smart home. The plug works perfectly with Amazon Alexa but can also work with Google as well. Using simple voice commands through Alexa and the connectivity to the plug makes Handling an appliance performance simply easier. I can also access the smart plug Through My “SmartLife “ application which I have already been utilizing to control Other devices like my Range/Oven. The application is free and fully accessible through the App Store, with no hub required or needed. Upon installation my SmartLife app automatically and effectively picked by the new smart plug And installed it within minutes, as well as installation to my Alex App. All I had to do was to make Sure my bluetooth and SmartLife app was open on my iPhone, connect the smart plug to a regular home outlet and then press the power button on the plug. That’s It ! So simple and extremely quick. There is a directional booklet that was included with the plug which lays out precise and clear Directions. The plug can support up to 15 amps and 1800 watts of power, suitable for my household Ad use with my current appliances. The plug is CE and FCC certified so that added assurance Is great in my opinion when it comes to safety. Connected through the App I was able to Rename the plug to whatever I wanted, and control the plug from my phone, create a Timeframe to turn on and off. I could also add the plug and its device to a group, check The device status, the network, change the settings and even share the device with My husband. I can control the device from home or from anywhere through the app. The plug is compact depending on where it will be used. I say this because it is a tad bulky So trying to install it in a pace where there is not much room between the wall and the appliance The plug sometimes does not fit. Therefore it can be a tad tricky in tight spaces, however It can most certainly be used on a 2 power outlet with another device plugged in with no Issues at all. I was able to plug my electric fireplace to the smart plug and there was just enough room To have it fit behind the fireplace. My fireplace fits within the wattage allowed via the plug So now I can remotely start my fireplace every morning or schedule it to go on automatically And warm up my family room before I wake. ( see video ) Overall, this smart plug offers such a simple and effortless method to automate And control certain appliances with either my voice or remotely . The media could not be loaded. I am just becoming familiar with smart devices. I'm not a tech person at all but I found this device simple to use and set up. The current problem (ha! see what I did there?) I was trying solve was a lamp in my den that stays connected to a bulky timer so that if we come home late there is a light on. However, we sometimes are in the room past 'timer off'. We end up sitting in the dark until we twist the timer dial around and the light comes back on. But now the timer schedule is off. This device fixed the situation perfectly. I was helped a bit by already having the Smart Life App (a requirement) and having an Amazon Echo Dot with Alexa. In my case I took the smart plug out of the box and plugged it between my outlet and my lamp cord. When I opened the Smart Life App it had already been found. I added it and renamed it to my preference and that was it. My Alexa account is already linked to my smart life account. So to turn the light off and on I just have to find the very obvious power 'button' in the middle of the Smart Life App, or tell Alexa to turn on the "insert name of device". It could not have been simpler. Once the smart plug was added, at the bottom of the app screen there are three buttons; power, timer, and setting. I tapped on the timer button and was easily able to set off and on times for 7 days of the week. No instructions needed. It was intuitive. Now I can turn the lamp off and on from my recliner using the app, or know that the timer will take over if I'm not home. And it is so much smaller than my bulky mechanical timer! For the very reasonable price of around $15 I can think of many other applications and will be buying more of these. For clarification: The lamp switch is in the mechanically ON position all the time. I never touch the lamp. The smart plug device is a power gate-keeper, it allows current through, or not, based on app or voice instructions. I have chosen to add the device to my Alexa app (through my Echo hub) for voice control. But a hub is not necessary. A wifi connection between the Smart Life app and the smart plug is all that is needed for 'smart' functionality. Well done, BXST! Read more

This smart outlet is quick to setup and works great. This included one smart outlet. The outlet uses WIFI for communications with the Smart Life app. On the front of the outlet is a single 3-prong outlet. On the left side is a button that can be used to manually turn the outlet on and off. I measured the smart outlet at 2.6" wide, 1.6" tall, and 1.2" deep. Two of these will fit on a standard 2 outlet wall outlet without blocking each other. Using the outlet setup is real easy. The outlet gets plugged into a power outlet and then you plug your device into this outlet. For manual control you simply push the button on the outlet. For automatic control I went to add an item in the Smart L ife application and the outlet showed up immediately. After adding it I am able to set schedules and timers. You can adjust the power button light setting in the application. The default seems to be light on when the outlet is on but you can disable the light. You can also have the outlet come on always on, always off, or remembmering it's setting for power failures. The outlet has simply worked without anything special required on my part.
