Has been made to a rather high standard of finish, not a perfect mirror finish but close enough for what this if for, it's nice and smooth in the hand, and has a good heft to it. Good size in hand, not too big in my medium-large hands. This price($12) was the best I could find, not sure about value for money on this item, it's such a simple design and a very basic material I wonder if anything over $10 is too much, but considering how much effort goes into making something like this, maybe it is a good value. This is where I would normally search on the Asian supplier sites and see how much these cost direct from China to see if it was a good price, but the difference here would be waiting a month or two to arrive or get it on Amazon in 2 days, so I would say it's a bargain, I really wouldn't likely find something like this priced much lower locally. In the end it functions quite well allowing for a variety of deep and wide massage strokes and offers some leverage depending on how you hold it. And can even be used for pressure point stimulation in some locations. After using this a bit, I was thinking this would be a nice project for woodworking, a simple saw and some sand paper and you could make a really nice massage device.
