I bought this not for my carpets (I have a big Hoover for that) but for my chairs. Once dried, Iโll evaluate but disappointed with the auction. Water came out and I could see it sacking up water, but I used half the water in the clean tank and only sucked up a tiny bitโlike a tablespoon. Yesโwater was dirty, but why not more? I absolutely love this upholstery cleaner! My husband is a landscaper, my kid is a skateboarder along with his dozens of friends, and my son in law is a plumber so my poor couch sees a LOTTTT of dirt lol.
