I have a single Type C USB port on my ASUS Rog motherboard that I couldn't really use for anything more that one device (even though it can support more than that) and due to it being in the back of my computer which makes accessing it a nightmare. This cable solves both the amount of attached devices (4) plus bringing the connection to the top of my workstation. For anyone wondering if it has been stress tested, I constantly have a USB Mouse and USB Keyboard in two of the four ports; the other two I have been running two portable 3tb hard drives with absolutely no issue at all. I was concerned that since they were not powered they would exceed the draw on the Type C port the cable is splitting, but it seems to keep up just fine. Absolutely recommended! Read more

More and more devices are coming with lots of (or even just a few) USB-C ports and few/if any USB-A ports. But there are still many devices - both legacy and brand new devices - that only use USB-A cables. Do you need to go out and buy all new cables to use USB-C? No - certainly not - that's where an adapter/hub like this comes in super handy. With this hub, you can use one USB-C port to provide high speed data connections (up to 5GB/s - IF the USB-C port you are using supports that) for up to 4 USB-A devices. That solves a huge problem with thin/light laptops and is really something that is needed in today's world. Cable Matters makes a number of great adapters and this is another one of them. While somewhat basic (no braided covers or metal shrouds here) it's high functional with durable rubberized coverings and a plastic shell. It works and it should last just fine - and for a very low price. Considering the need for products like this in today's computing world that is straddling the line between USB-C and USB-A, you almost can't afford to NOT get this. Read more
The media could not be loaded. Is compact, lightweight and works perfectly fine with my Dell docking station. Nowadays computers have 1 or 2 USB ports and that's it. You need one hub like this to add more USB ports to your computer. Good speed transfer. Removed one star because is on the pricey side. Recommended! Read more
My new desktop computer lives under the desk, and only a couple of its ports are reachable without having to crawl around. This hub is perfect for my purposes as it sits flat and low on top of my desk, takes up minimal space, and runs at full USB 3.0 speeds. The cord is long enough to get around and through the cord management passages and reach my computer without needing to be stretched tight. The TB 3/4 compatibility means I can hang a dock off of it if I need to (and I probably will at some point). Cable Matters delivers a quality product once again! Read more
The cable matters usb c hub is pretty amazing. I got it as a replacement to my anker 4 port usb 3 type a hub which had build quality issues and connection issues. This hub has consistent speed transfers and connectivity. No issues whatsoever. Actually ended up picking up another. The cable length was another big seller as it was long enough to do a short run from a desktop. Read more
Was in need of a hub and since my x570 motherboard has a USB-C in the back, I decided to go with this and speeds are great. No issues at all with using my flash drives and my external m2. Small, Compact, 4FT Cable & Great Speeds. Does what you need it to do and its perfect. Read more
