I purchased this for my wild, heavy-chewing puppy, and he took to it right away. The size was great and it immediately grabbed his attention, which is always a win with an energetic chewer. While my dog clearly enjoyed it, it didn’t keep him occupied for very long—about 10 minutes. Once he hollowed out as much of the center as his tongue could reach from both ends, he completely lost interest. There’s still some of the filling left in the middle, but since he can’t reach it, he doesn’t bother with it anymore. My dog loves this, we get the peanut butter filled and it is long lasting. However it splinters and breaks EASILY. We’ve gotten two of them and they have splintered bad. Luckily we are always watching him closely, and he has been spitting out any splintered pieces. But it definitely causes concern he accidentally swallows and a piece get lodged somewhere.
