Caesar Gold Safety Razor by Roman Empire Shaving with Set of 20 Shaving Blades Astra-Derby-Shark-Treet

I bought this razor basically as my first DE safety razor, the price with the 4 packs of blades makes this an incredible value. To me the razor seems to have a great build quality with a nice heft to the razor. As a shaver it is definitely a mild razor making it very beginner friendly, I've been able to get great shaves with it and I'm still using the basic can shaving creams. The blades included are recommended throughout the safety razor community and with good reason. Now my skin isn't sensitive and my facial hair isn't very thick however this has given me the closest shave of my life and I find it much more convenient than a cartridge razor in that it does not get clogged while I'm shaving-- very easy to clean it out during the shave, making it a faster shaver than any cartridge razor I have ever used. Overall I would highly recommend this product to anyone getting into safety razors as not only does it come with a solid razor but 20 excellent blades as well, it's a value that cannot be beat. Good feel in hand, nice finish and a good shave once you get the blade correctly positioned. The blade locating pins on the razor head are too thin, allowing the blade to move. Once you make the blade parallel and get the blade reveal the same on both sides, tighten up the blade and it should perform pretty well. Mine provided a good shave. Read more

I had to return this product for a replacement because the threading is messed up on either the razor head or handle. The replacement also has the same issue. Something is wrong with the gold variant of this razor, as the the gunmetal version seems to work fine. 1 star for terrible quality control. Read more

I received the razor in it's original box, brand new, the razor was disassemble in the box. Its beautiful, I got the one silver head and golden handle. Unfortunately I was not able to use it, the thread in the handle or on the head are messed up. This one is going back to amazon. Read more
