Pros and Cons of a 2-in-1 Music Stand

First and foremost, a music stand is necessary for those who play musical instruments and can read sheet music. Personally, we use it for clarinet practice. Since our lessons are not at home, an important factor for us was the weight and the ability to quickly assemble and disassemble the stand so we could take it with us to music school. Let me first talk about the advantages, and then I'll mention the drawbacks, because they do exist here as well. So, the advantages are: adjustable height, foldable design, light weight, a carrying case included, sheet music clips in the package, and the ability to tilt the stand for comfortable reading. I don't think it makes sense to elaborate further, as everything is self-explanatory. As for the downsides, the product looks a bit flimsy. You definitely shouldn't put a large book on it, because I think it might not hold it. Yes, it's made of metal, and it has a stable base, but it still feels a bit weak. It starts to wobble if you walk near it. It’s not really a big surprise or a huge issue, but just keep this fact in mind when making a purchase. Also, you can remove the stand's pole, and if you use it for piano playing, you can just place it on top of the instrument’s body. Very versatile! In conclusion, my opinion is that this model is a good choice, especially for beginner musicians, and it handles small study materials very well. If you're a professional or looking for something more stable, you might want to consider other options. Read more

Fabulous as a tabletop stand.

Lightweight but stable. Work well for its intended purpose. I put a few felt spots under the stand to protect the table from possible scratching when using it as a tabletop stand. Box was smashed, and it wasn’t sturdy enough to protect the carrying bag from getting torn. Given the spot where the hole is located, it may continue tearing with use. Update: after three weeks of daily use as a tabletop note stand, I can say it is perfect. Others in my group liked my stand and ordered one too. Great value. Read more

Good quality for money if you just need a portable stand

Easy to use. Light. Easy to fold up and put together. Typical wire stand though where a strong gust of wind will knock it over. I do appreciated the page holders - they're stronger than most others. Read more

Unbelievable and must buy!

The people who made this music stand must own my old ones. It fixes everything wrong with my old ones. Opening the music holder was shocking that smoothly opened with the tug and pull, it just glided open. When I move the old one, the music holder would come off in my hands. This one can be moved with it disassembling. The base also is so smooth to setup. Again, there is no tug and pull to get it assembled. Those useless copy holders that would never hold more than one sheet because they at the wrong position on the stand are at the right position with this new stand and it can hold up to an inch of material, such as a music book. The music holder is a rectangular design simulating a solid holder, unlike my old one that resembles a folk which did hold music sheets well at all. Again, I must emphasize the quality of the entire stand, including it storage/travel case. It even has a piece that allows the music holder to sit on a table or desk when that is needed. If you need a portable or even fixed music stand, this is a must have. I just love it. Read more

Does the job, but just barely

This music stand is lightweight and easy to put together and take apart. The carry case is sleek and easy to carry. That said, the stand itself is very narrow. It can barely hold a tablet. I would not use it for anything larger/heavier than that, like eg a vocal score. I would also not leave my tablet on it unattended, like during a break, because I think even someone lightly brushing against the stand would be a significant tipping hazard. So overall, it's okay, and convenient, but its usefulness is quite limited. Read more
