This dress is so lovely and flattering! I was invited to an awards lunch at work with only two days to prepare. I (dangerously-do not recommend) “shopped” for my dress on my way to work (traffic was a snails pace so I wasn’t moving much - don’t judge me 😬) and prayed it would arrive on time and look decent. I was so pleasantly surprised by the quality of the fabric and cut, it fits perfectly which is tough with my petite, athletic but curvy build. I normally wear a size 2-4 but because I have broad shoulders and no time to pivot I sized to a 4. It fits well now with room to grow, and because it’s a timeless wardrobe staple I can see wearing it forever. I love the lightly puffed sleeves and the gold zipper is classy but makes a statement. I needed a dress for my mother's memorial service and this was perfect! I am 5'7, 140 lbs with an athletic build. I ordered my regular dress size of a 4 and it fit like it was made for me. It is so flattering and I received so many complements. It is also extremely comfortable! The fabric has a little bit of stretch, and is a nice weight for a fall or spring occasion. The higher neck and knee length make it an appropriate option for church. I want to say I wish it had pockets, but the fact it doesn't have pockets elevates its class. I've never owned anything from Calvin Klein but happened to see this dress and loved the bold gold zipper, and it was cheap, so I decided to give it a try. The material was nicer than I expected for this brand and price point. And as expected, I loved the look of the zipper. I am 5'7", 145lbs, 36C, size 4-6 and the size 6 fit me well. It was a tad loose in the waist and hips, but not enough to go down a size, as it fit appropriately in the shoulders. But the sleeve/shoulders were the problem for me - I have muscular arms & shoulders and the puffy sleeve gave me that linebacker look. So, if you are my size with a less athletic build, the size 4 probably would be the right call. On someone shorter/more petite, I do think the sleeves would be too much. Read more
Everything about this dress is perfection. Calvin Klein makes a well cut, flattering and high quality dress. I wore it to a memorial service, but it’s so versatile you could wear it to the office or dress it up with fancy heels and jewelry for a wedding. Fits very true to size, and has a sturdy and reliable zipper on the back that won’t break like some of those cheap fast fashion dress zippers. This dress creates the perfect hourglass silhouette when paired with a nice foundation garment (I wore a spanx bodysuit underneath). The try before you by is such a great program, too! Buy it! Lovely dress. Calvin Klein knows how to cut a dress. Like many who commented, I ordered last minute (wedding). I ordered a 12 in navy and it fit as expected. If you are undecided, size up because the style is designed to be a close fit. Good fabric, easy care, does not require a slip, but you will want to wear smooth undergarments.
