This patch is large enough to cover most holes and tears in boat and car covers. I used it on my boat cover where the boat line cleats had worn holes through the cover. The patch went on easily and adheres very well. The patch is very thick and tough and will outlast my boat cover. I put the patch on the inside of the cover so you don't even see it. This way the patch and not the cover comes into contact with the cleats. I also cut some pool noodle sections and made slit in it to attach to my cleats for additional padding.
