I am 5’3” and 174 pounds. I usually need a large but I took a chance and ordered a medium in this jacket. It fits very nicely and I am extremely pleased with the quality. It seems to have all of the quality options that one looks for. It is warm, very comfortable, you can tighten the lower hem, and the felt liner is removal so you can have many options as to how many layers you wish to wear. I have never seen this much quality in a low priced ski parka. I have skied the past few days with the fleece liner removed and used a different liner coat from another 3 in 1 coat and I am even more impressed with the outer coats quality and lightness. I bought these jackets for my husband & I to take to Europe because of their versatility. They did not disappoint. From the top of Jungfaujoch glacier in Switzerland to a downpour in Cologne, Germany and New Years Eve in Paris, for 6 weeks this was our outer wear. Often times, we had the inner fleece out and wore long sleeve T-shirt or flannel shirt and was perfectly warm because the jackets blocked the wind and rain/mist. They were well constructed. Zippers moved fluidly. Love the breast zipper pocket because it was easy to slip a metro pass in & out. Side pockets were roomy & comfortably fit gloved hands, a phone, & room to spare. Once back home, these are still the rain jackets we grab when taking the dogs out or wear the fleece alone as a jacket. Read more

Took this jacket for a test drive today. Weather: 36 F, breezy/gusty, frozen/rain mix, outside walking about 40 minutes. Sizing: Large, weight 175. Pros: Excellent at repelling wind and rain. Good at insulating body core and arms, but if much colder than my test you might consider a heavier jacket or adding layers beneath like marino wool (the jacket is roomy enough to do so). Good and easy to zip out liner and detatchable hood. Good velcro closures at wrists. Good closures around face, but unless sinched down tight the hood doesn't move with your head, forcing you to turn your entire body to look side to side. Good zip out liner is a very light fleece that looks good and works well on its own, but only good for maybe 40 degree temps. Good practicle looks suitable for stormy weather where comfort and appearance need to be considered. Jacket shell has a left breast pocket with an auxiliary port where you can feed a headphone jack, but as noted below - this isn't accessible when the liner is zipped in. Flaps over front zipper and velcro closure at the top keep out moisture. When sinched up the hood forms a brim that keeps rain/snow/drips from obscuring vision. Hood uses a zipper to attach neck in back and overlays jacket collar to prevent moisture from running off the hood and down your neck - this is further prevented by left/right velcro attachment points in the front jacket collar. Nice attention to detail here! Cons: Hood and front pockets have zero insulation, but do protect well from wind and rain/snow. Hood feels roomy enough to wear a wool knit cap underneath to keep head and ears warm. Some light wool gloves would be enough to keep hands warm. Wind skirt sinches and left breast pocket can only be accessed when fleece liner is removed, but fleece liner does have two internal and two external pockets. Overall: Great value for the money! The option to use the outer shell or inner liner makes this jacket very versatile. Adding or removing clothing layers beneath either and wearing gloves and a knit hat makes it even more so. Read more

I purchased the all-black version Things I Like: - This may be the first coat I've owned that I've actually felt warm in - I love the 2-in-1 combination and being able to wear the fleece or windbreaker separately - Both pieces are really stylish and can be dressed up or down - I appreciate the removable hood, different adjusters, and such - The pockets are useful and low-profile Things I Dislike: - The windbreaker fit larger than I expected. The fleece portion was just about perfect. - The windbreaker has an adjuster that can be tightened around the abdominal area, but not at the waistline - The zippers seems to be low quality, but it may be too soon to make that judgement - I would have preferred the windbreaker collar to be just a bit shorter. It looks awkwardly large if you try to wear the collar up. Read more

I have a woman's version and, since my husband decided to borrow the outer jacket to run in the rain, I quickly ordered the man's version for him. He loves it. The jacket is perfectly made and amazingly convenient with an attractive inner liner, zip on hood, and several conveniently placed pockets. I especially like this particular style because it will be ok for business as well as sports. Since the fleece liner, which can be worn alone, zips in and out, the jacket is perfect for cool and cold weather as well as heavy rain. I just wish this brand made rain pants. Read more

I broke the zipper on my favorite winter coat which also had a zip out lining that can be worn as a lighter coat. I needed a coat quickly, this one appeared similar enough, and the price was good. While it is a decent coat, I have a few issues with it. PROS: It comes with a nice fleece liner (zip out to be worn separately if desired). The shell is waterproof. CONS: This coat is best used if temperatures are above freezing. I noticed very quickly that the coat isn't as warm as I had hoped. I took the liner out of my old coat (it fit in the new one perfectly) and provides better warmth. The hood is worthless other than to keep rain off your head as it is not lined. The main zipper on the shell can be anywhere from finicky to frustrating to work. Overall, it serves the purpose, but it will never be a favorite. I will replace it before next winter. Read more
