CamelBak Chute Mag 32oz Vacuum Insulated Stainless Steel Water Bottle Black

I have had this item for about a month now and here's what I can say: - The insulation which allows the item to remain hot and cold is superb and will last for a while. I have had cold water in the bottle remain cold for well over 10 hours! I have not attempted any hot beverages so I would encourage the next buyer to give that a try and review it! - The bottle itself has a fairly decent grip! It does appear to lose a small fraction of grip if your hands are wet however it would only need a little more firmness in grasp. The handle is strong and easily compensates should you find it to be slippery. One main issue I am concerned with is what the scratch damage would look like. It appears easily scratched and could possibly be dented but that remains to be seen since I have yet to drop. - The size of the bottle (girth) is large which I prefer to the slimmer bottles. Although my hands are probably average, possibly smaller than the average, the size fits well enough into my hand that I can maintain a good grip without the concern of dropping. - The cap is possibly the favorite thing about this bottle. It like most bottles, has a rubber rim inside to prevent leakage but what makes this lid great is the magnetized top which helps guide the lid on, secures the grip, and is bound to the plastic, meaning that you can't lose the cap! - The whole cap is great and leakproof and removing it makes it easier for refill, cleaning, and if you like the wide mouth (as I do) it will makes the drinking experince while dehydrated that much better! - I will say, that generally speaking, I don't like to spend a lot on a bottle. I however, have found through trial and error, that cheaper bottles really do compensate the price for quality and after probably 5-6 bottles having something this sturdy, is definitely worth it. The bottle is priced at a hard but fair range however I would hope to assume this bottle will last me at 3 years. All things considered, you may assume my rating to be between a 4 and a 5 but I could not justify something less than what I gave because most of the concerns I presented are generally non starters. I have had bottles before that wouldn’t keep liquids cold for a long period of time. I primarily drink refridge cold water mixed with MIO. I have found that this bottle will keep my drink cold overnight and during the hot summer days. I haven’t tried hot beverages in this bottle so I can’t say anything to that. It has a large drinking spout that is very nice so you get plenty when you drink and is a lot better than fighting with a straw. I had dogs and kittens, so my bottle frequently gets knocked off my table by the animals and isn’t dinged or scratched at all. I have had issues in the past with similiar bottles leaking and am please to say that this bottle doesn’t leak. I have found that if you get water around the top where the lid screw on and shake it, you may find some water present but it isn’t from the shaking. It seems to be liquid that is pushed down when the lid is screwed on. I find that if I wipe the top of the bottle prior to putting on the cap, this doesn’t occur. I have purchased 2 of these bottles and use them on a rotational basis. One thing that I was disappointed about at first was the fact that you can’t put warm water in the bottle and then expect the refrigerator to cool down the water. I believe that it is because the bottle is so thick that the cold doesn’t seep thru the bottle wall. I can live without that. This CamelBak is incredible. It keeps my water so cold, it feels like it was pulled straight from the icy depths of my soul. At 32 ounces, it holds enough water to keep me hydrated while I scroll through the trainwreck that is my daily existence. The matte black finish? Chef’s kiss. It’s like it knows it’s going to witness me spilling water on myself during my existential breakdowns and does it with style. And the durability? Let’s just say this thing has hit the ground more times than my self-esteem and still looks perfect. If you want a water bottle that performs like a tank and reminds you that, at least your hydration is under control (unlike everything else), this is the one. Great buy for the price. 32 oz descent size and capacity. Keeps the drink cold for very long time in exposed to heat and sun. The flip top cap is also very handy for fast opening and closing. In short, very recommended product. Read more

Had mine a bit over a year. It's great, BUT the lid is a pain to clean. The gaskets are a pain to remove and clean. The spout cap design has narrow bits in the sealing and retention surfaces that are a pain to clean. Look at the underside of the cap and spout cover. It's a bugger to clean. If Camelbak would tweak the cap design, it would be a huge winner. Otherwise it doesn't leak and holds the temp well enough. I only use mine for cold but I bet it would work fine on hot too. Improve the cap and maybe make it Stainless as well?? Then it's a 5 star no brainer. Read more

I purchased this water bottle after losing my Hydroflask that I've been using for a few years. This is comparable, it keeps my drinks hot and cold for the same amount of time as my old Hydroflask. It was also cheaper and was slimmer despite being 32 ounces as well. The mouthpiece is also smaller, which allows me to drink when walking, which is something my wide-mouth Hydroflask could not do. I wish the carry handle was flexible so that I could hang it to things easier and I also wish that the metal grain on the bottle was slightly coarser for better grip. Overall though I still believe this is a solid bottle and is the same if not better compared to Hydroflasks. Read more
