I've been using this Camelback 4-cup water bottle for a few weeks now and like it very much. Previously I had been using the original plastic, uninsulated 3-cup version for drinking water at my desk during the day as well as outside of work but wanted something insulated that would do better at keeping my drink cold. Another factor that figured into my decision was that I wanted something in the 4-cup size so that I could use 2 OTG (on the go) water flavor packets exactly when I was looking to add some flavor to my water. I felt that this Camelbak met all of my requirements and was more reasonably priced than other brands that were similarly-sized and insulated. I also liked the magnetic top -- my prior 3-cup water bottle had the same kind of top, which I liked, so the fact that this bottle had this top was also a factor in my decision. The top is easy to drink out of while working at a desk and I didn't need a non-spill kind of top that one might use if using this bottle on a bike or running (I have a separate water bottle with that kind of top that I use for those kinds of activities). I like the color, the construction, and almost everything about this water bottle. The only downside, and it is minor, is that it's just a little bigger around than my older 3-cup bottle. That, together with the slicker metal exterior, makes it a little more difficult to grab and hold with one hand than my older plastic one. I haven't tried it yet because it would mar the smooth look of the bottle but am thinking that if I added a rubberized wrap on the bottle where I normally grab it to drink it would eliminate this problem. (If I find a good-looking wrap at some point, I do plan on adding it as it would then make this bottle perfect in my opinion.) Read more
Simple to use and clean. Stainless steel so you can easily see if there's any residue inside or around the rim. Strong. Yes, it's heavy, but it takes no damage and holds cold temperature for hours. Does not leak when it falls over and rolls around. No complicated drinking mechanism to take apart and reassemble when cleaning it. At home or on a picnic it's ideal. I wouldn't take it on a hike because of the weight. Camelbak and Takeya my favorite water bottles. Read more
Best water container out there at keeping drinks cool. The magnetic lid is great so you don't have to hold the lid while you're drinking or find a place to put it down. I've never been a fan of the containers that have straws because I find them difficult to clean and if you use your drink container as often as I do, it's important to clean often. This style of lid makes it easy. Read more
Nice. Nice size, nice construction, a quality product. Nice, wide opening for easy filling. Two minor issues: 1. Doesn't keep liquids cold for as long as some other bottles. Does a good job at this, but don't expect your drink to be ice cold six hours from the time you filled the bottle. This is a minor issue unless you have the need for an ice cold drink six hours from now. 2. Magnet seems like a gimmick; it's not too strong and I don't mind screwing the lid on so as to avoid an accidental spill. But this too is a minor issue, and I don't want you to think I'm a sniveling whiner. (Actually, I am a sniveling whiner, but I don't want you to think so.) Read more
Great product, keeps cold long time but haven't had the chance to test it, I especially love the magnet cap help during my treadmill runs and the screw cap to keep everything out during times that I'm not using Read more
The info on Amazon said “stays cold for 32 hours”. From my test, ice took about 26 hours to fully melt. The water stayed cold for another 10 hours after that. I can confidently say that this bottle keeps liquids cold for more hours than is advertised. I wasn’t sure about the lid when I first saw it, but it’s actually comfortable to carry and the magnetic hold for the cap is really neat. I use the Camelbak strainer in my bottle to keep ice from blocking the spout. Overall, it’s exactly what I wanted in a water bottle. Read more
