Built to last, how refreshing:)

I just got this, little bigger than I thought but, it's well made, solidly built... Make sure you read the manual, Turn both flame adjusters off before attaching the propane tank. Fired right up... works great, the 10,000 ATU's thats American Thermal Units :) is powerful enough for my cooking needs... Plenty! All in all.. I'm happy with this Stove... ADD ON! So, after putting pots n pans on the grate, hmmm uneven... not completely level, which is a knock on the build...I literally had to use a hammer on the grills, figuring out which was not level...that was fun...lol I got it almost even, gonna have to do, with that being said... I still like it.. it is SS and heavy duty, Burners are also SS and after they get hot n then cool? what a beautiful patina:) It's a little heavy, but it's for car camping, and for emergency ,if power goes out. For the price? this is a great stove! Read more

Great Stove!

I recently used the Camp Chef Mountain Series Kodiak camp stove on my first camping trip, and I was really impressed with its performance. Setup was simple and quick, and it worked flawlessly for cooking several meals during the trip. The burners provided even heat, and the stove felt sturdy and reliable. The only downside I noticed is that it was a bit difficult to clean after multiple uses. It would be great if there were a removable liner or tray under the burners to catch drips and debris, which would make cleanup much easier. Despite that, I would definitely recommend this stove to anyone looking for a dependable and easy-to-use camp stove. It’s a solid choice for both beginners and seasoned campers. Great value for the cost and well designed. Read more

Best camp stove I’ve used. Love the red, not sure why.

I stepped up from the Colman I’ve had for 20 years and this is cool. Really well Constructed, cooked faster than my gas at home. Smart design. Read more

Nice addition to camping gear

I like the size of this stove very much--more compact than old Coleman it is replacing. unlike the Coleman it is also possible to fine tune the flame size. other features are nice like the latches for windscreen & to close the stove. I've removed a star due to the starter design and functionality. the button is VERY hard to push, the stove is lightweight. this means you have to hold the stove to prevent it sliding away from you while pushing the button. best place to hold is to place fingers over the top...exactly where the flame will blast out when you light it! once I was aware of this challenge I made sure to keep my fingers away but it was still difficult to hold in place and simultaneously push the stiff button. I've used the stove 3 times and on the 3rd time one of the burners would not light at all using the starter. Hoping this is a fluke and it will work again but that was quite disappointing from a new product. - was concerned since it was lower btu than previous stove but boiled water super fast - cooked food and there was no burning on the bottom of the pots - very happy with the pattern of the metal bars that pots sit on. unlike other stoves they are shaped to allow small pots to be safely balanced Based on my first camping trip with this stove I would recommend it. I think mine is defective

I wish I would have tried it out before the return window was past, this stove is terrible, or I just got a broken one im not sure, I had a camp chef mountaineer and it was fantastic other than it wouldn't simmer well, so I bought the Kodiak because its much smaller to pack into my jeep, for starters the push ignition doesn't work well at all. Like 20 pushes to get it to light, also the burner output is not what it should be, I think I got a bad unit, or it just really isn't a good stove. The finish of the stove is really nice, I finally bit the bullet and bought a stove from partner steel Read more

Would recommend!

We love this camping stove! It was big enough for a large cast iron skillet and a tea kettle for our camping breakfast. It heats up fast and was very easy to use. Two burners is a must for camping!! Read more
