I purchased the Camp Lux Pro water heater and was initially impressed — it was packaged very well and had a solid, quality appearance. However, I did encounter two issues early on: the battery discharged quickly in colder climates, and the unit struggled to heat up very cold water (around 60°F). When testing indoors with warmer tap water, it performed well, heating to about 100°F efficiently. But in camping situations, you don’t have the luxury of running gallons of water just to wait for it to heat up. I carry about 5 gallons split into two drums, with one dedicated to showering, so wasting 1–2 gallons waiting for heat wasn’t practical. I reached out to Camp Lux, and their customer service was excellent. We discussed the issues, and they offered to send me their upgraded unit at no cost. After using the new unit, I can confirm that both problems — battery life and slow heating with colder water — are now resolved. Camp Lux has been fantastic to work with and clearly stands behind their products. Based on my experience, I’m confident they would be responsive to warranty claims and other concerns. I would absolutely purchase from them again in the future. Read more

OH MY GOODNESS!! This portable water heater is, by far, the best investment I have made for camping!! I can not stress how much the family (6) enjoyed hot showers, during a 7 day trip! Washing dishes outside was sooo nice, too not loading up gray tank! It's a very functional unit. Very much needed, at the same time, a beautiful piece of pure luxury! It's very easy to use! Hose is long enough to reach all those important places! Water temp, perfect. I am so impressed with this unit! I will probably use it pool side as well! Almost gave the poodle a bath outside with it! I give it 6 stars! We had a question about the battery screen. We thought it wasn't charging. Customer service was superb! They explain the readings and we were on our way for some good, clean fun!! You will not regret owning this luxurious portable water heater. We highly recommend it! Read more

Received and unboxed this shower unit August 2024. Had concerns with the charging feature and reached out to manufacturer via website email link. Received prompt response. After quite a few back and forth messages our issue was resolved. The shower itself is very easy to use. Hoses for inlet pump and outlet shower head attach and detach quickly and easily and seal well. Unit comes with DC charging cord. Charging port is standard size and we had an AC charging cord that fit unit already. There is a Learning curve to remembering to turn master power on for charging and off for transport. Leaving master power turned on between use will drain battery. On the plus side, the unit can be powered by external source (DC or AC) between charges. When showering external temp was 50 and water going into unit was 65 degrees. At this combination outflow water temp was 104 at quarter dial. We didn't test how hot we could run unit but did have to frequently turn down water as even half dial was producing 115 degree water which was far too hot for us. Propane hook up was easy and secure with both 1 pound tank and adapter for larger tanks. Unit LED display is bright and was easy to see in full sunlight. One drawback we found was the unit will time out after around 10 minutes of non use. After turning unit on and activating pump, gathering shower supplies and then getting undressed pump needed to be restarted to shower. This could have been avoided by being prepared before activating pump. Unit is very lightweight and compact yet sturdy and well built. We would definitely buy this product again. Read more

I purchased the CAMPLUX Nano 3 Pro on March 20, 2025 for my off-grid cabin to use as my everyday shower. I use it twice a day (morning and night) and never had any issues with having a nice warm shower. It's now August 2025 and suddenly it's nothing but problems. The unit has always been protected from the elements; the water pressure is exactly the same going into the unit as it was in March when I purchased it, the batteries are charged when needed and the little green 1lb pressure tanks are the only thing that has been changed when they run out. Now when I go to turn the shower on, the flame clicks and ignites and about 10 secs later the flame goes out. I tried a brand new 1lb green tank, same thing, turn shower on clicks repeatedly flame ignites and 10 secs or so later the flame goes out. If you search Camplux NanoPro or any Camplux shower troubleshooting it discusses replacing thermocouplers, ignition switches and all that jazz. Who wants to spend $400 and then after a few months have to go online and purchase replacement parts and switches to replace some low-quality internal junk made in China. I could possibly understand some issues if it were outside by the creek or river getting knocked around on a camping trip but sitting on a shelf in the same spot in an indoor bathhouse then suddenly start having issues is kind of a quality issue if you ask me. The product meet my expectations. The only thing I did not like is that when you do not use the shower for more than 2 minutes it shuts off the heater itself. If you have the heater outside your shower tent it will be inconvenient to turn the heater back on. I think it has something to do with the pump. It is recommended to be used outside the shower tent so it will not get water inside of the machine but if you're already wet and naked in the shower, you have to reach out and turn the machine on again when it shuts off after 2 minutes. Iv now used this for a full season of camping and it worked awesome! Battery lasted for a very long time just be sure you turn off the switch on the bottom after every use or it will drain. I used two black 5 gallon buckets to pump from and let the sun warm up the water. I also suggest if your using untreated/unfiltered water before you put it away for the season to mix vinegar and water 50/50 then let the pump run for 20-30 minutes so it cleans out the lines. Just let it circulate in a bucket. Read more
