My Husband, FOUR dogs and I went on a weekend camping trip using this tent. Very sturdy! Fit a twin size mattress on one half and left plenty of room for belongings and space for all 4 dogs to lay out. The setup took about 15 minutes for two people and the tent held up the entire weekend without the need to tie anything down twice. Great value for a roomy tent and so easy to set up. I really love the side clips for the poles. The tent is very typical in that it is waterproof and made with the fiberglass poles. It would be great to use for camping or on the beach. Read more

This tent was perfect for our recent camping trip and made the whole experience much smoother. The setup was quick. Inside, we were able to fit two queen-sized air mattresses easily with room to spare. This camping tent exceeded all of our expectations. It’s very spacious inside, with plenty of room for people, gear, and moving around comfortably. Setup was much easier than I expected and didn’t take long at all, even the first time. The tent feels solid and well made, and it held up great in both wind and rain, everything stayed completely dry inside. The mesh windows and door provide excellent airflow, which made a big difference on warmer days, and the rainfly adds an extra layer of protection when the weather changes. I have slept in a lot of tents. This one was purchased with the purpose of being a good car camping tent for our family of four. We anticipated it would see a lot of sand, dirt, etc and we wanted something that was sufficient to do the job, but not so nice we'd cry if anything happened to it. We camped for a week at both the beach and the Hoh rainforest in sunshine and in rain. Key points: Things I love: Color is great. Bottom of tent is tarp material, so it's durable and extends up the sides. Fits the whole family. Packs down small for it's size. Very affordable. Plenty of vents (no condensation issues). Things I dislike: THE ZIPPER ON THE DOOR. Why did they only put one zipper pull on the zipper instead of two?! It is really annoying as an adult to bend down and unzip/rezip from the very bottom every time I want to get in or out of the tent. Every other tent I own I has double zippers to avoid this. (You can leave them at the middle/top, and then unzip and step inside without stooping all the way over). Also, kids sometimes don't push the zipper all the way closed and I constantly felt paranoid we'd get mice or another critter in the tent because of this. The poles are kinda flimsy. We definitely had some unique looking angles going on. Water resistance was questionable. We had water come in through that blasted door zipper and also a few other places after two days of rain. I would not want to be in this tent in heavy winds. Overall, it's a good entry level tent. It's a great bang for your buck if this is your price point. There are nicer ones out there, but nothing this affordable. One last hot tip: You can get a tarp from Harbor Freight for less than $10 if you need a footprint. Happy Camping! Read more

Please, prior to leaving a review, do everybody, including yourself, a favor by setting up the tent at home before you go camping, or whatever you're plans for it might be. Make sure all the components are in the sack. Make sure it's easy for you to set up. The tent was a piece of cake to set up (I read the instructions). First time took maybe 15 minutes for the tent, another 6 for the rain fly. It's windy today and I got the tent up by myself, but the rain fly was a 2-person job. The rain fly pole goes into a sleeve along the horizontal edge of the front of the fly (over the door). It'd be great if the sleeve is rust colored like the tent sleeves, but no, it's the same blue as the fly and tent, and not in the least obvious. Honestly, I dunno all that much about tents, but in my ignorance, to me the fabric seems thin. The bathtub floor is nice and tall. I'm gonna put either thick neoprene sheeting or a tarp inside to keep from damaging the floor. And then another tarp underneath for floor protection and rain. The door zipper is 2-way - but NOT "smooth," and wants to zip onto the rust-colored rain edging. We put some liquid dish soap along the zipper - it's better, but you still need to watch that it doesn't grab the edging. There was a 4 inch piece of thread near the height of the door zipper that wanted to catch in the zipper. DO NOT pull any threads, always snip them off with a pair of scissors. The last thing you want is for a pulled thread to start unraveling a seam or catch in and muck up your zipper. The window zipper is easy and smooth. There are NOT "built-in zipper windows all around." The only zipper window is in the door. The "snag-free continuous pole sleeves" are NOT snag-free - they catch on the silver pole sockets. It's not a big deal, just a matter of being aware. The obvious 'NOT' is the Shape being "square." Five and six lines down in the full description is stated the width is 9 feet and the length is 12 feet (accurate). Not sure in what universe the tent is manufactured, but 9×12 is not square. Just fyi: we're gonna Scotch Guard the heck out of tent. Incorrect descriptions aside, it seems like a right decent tent. I'll update next month once I've camped in it. Read more
