CanDo Heat Gun Stand 0 2 Pound

I suspect this stand might have been designed using a PC1500HG, because the circular rears to the frame EXACTLY fit around the rear side flanges of that gun, and the 1500 cannot move inside the frame accordingly. One thing you might not get: You just leave this on, it clips tightly to the gun. So you can set it down safely when it's hot, or operate it hands-free (I put a 4lb sledgehammer across the bottom legs to hold it in place), or store it with the frame on. The chain allows you to adjust the angle the gun is sitting at. It's a great design, it works perfectly, there's nothing else like it, and yes, it's a few more bucks, but it's absolutely absolutely absolutely (did I say "absolutely"?) worth it. Read more

Holds my heat gun and only occasionally falls over. I give the stand 4 stars because I think a little engineering could make this product flawless. But the price is so outrageous and the value is so small, that I can't in good conscience recommend this item. Two things would make this item a 5-star product: 1) Make the base heavier and more stable, perhaps even widen the base 1" 2) Lower the price so that this small amount of bent metal costs less than an entirely new heat gun.
