JUST WHAT I AM/WAS LOOKING FOR...Heavy individual 10 lb leg weight...no spills...bags are secure...no smell but the lil bag they put with it was busted and beads everywhere...so....I am 285 and used to be a spin instructor, these weights give my legs the resistance I need....super easy to use...only thing is wear tennis shoes and socks...and I only wear for 10 mins at a time...per day...I walk up and downstairs once with them.had them for a few days and def feel in my hip flexors and lower abs...getting a lil stronger and will continue the process...I would recommend for plus size ankles and yes you can use for your arms too...I would recommend to friends and family Read more

World’s strongest hook and loop connections! Heavy but removable weights. These are large weights, they’ll slip down below ankles and could drag on the floor. Too much to leave to walk on the street so be aware these are really good in-house. Read more

I just got them. Good material, the sandbags are well protected. They are easy to remove, not too easy to put on. Maybe they are too big for my ankles, I cannot walk with them bc they don't stay in place, but for working out I feel they are okay. I will come back later to write an updated review. **UPDATE:** I honestly really wanted to love these ankle weights. I mean they are great, the idea of the zipper is genius like you can adapt the weight as you want, but you might struggle to open them, I had a battle with one but at the end the zipper opened, but as for the other I lost the battle and the zipper ripped. Personally, they do not work well for me. As I mentioned before they do not stay in place, they fall, is like my pants are slippery and they can't hold their place. I removed 2 bags and each side to see if by having "more space" they would hug my ankle and nop, they keep falling, as much as I try to adjust them as much as I can, it seems that it is not enough. Maybe is just me that I am short, I do not know, but they aren't what I was hoping them to be :(, and this is sad because I did research and they seem like the best option, but sadly not for me. Reviews for this class of weight can be silly, including categories such as "most stylish". This product is not. It also includes far more weight than anything else I could find. The product is simple. Two holders, each with one large zipper that closes up five pouches, and two long velcro closures. Each pouch has a two pound plastic bag of sand which can be individually removed for any combination desired of weights distributed around the holder. Using the zipper is only required when changing the weight. Normal use does not require opening it. The holder is robust and completely surrounds the sandbags, which appear fragile and need to be handled carefully when not in the holder. Inside with the zipper closed, they seem to be in no danger at all. Donning and doffing is simple. Wrap the product around your ankle above your boot, thread the velcro through the buckle and secure. The velcro is plenty long enough to accommodate from zero to all five sandbags included. Doffing can take some work to peel off the velcro, which is extremely strong. Everything is black so finding the end of the velcro strap takes a moment. I am 77" tall and the product fits around my ankles with plenty of room to spare. I currently use only two pouches per leg so there is considerable free velcro length. I do not anticipate any issues with all five installed. With considerably smaller individuals, the product will wrap around more and the velcro goes all the way around so there should be no issues. I wear knee high socks and have no issues with comfort. The product has no sharp edges or exposed velcro on the inside but I would not recommend use on bare skin. Full height hiking boots work great, I do not know how trail running or other low shoes would handle something of this size and weight. Four pounds per leg makes a very substantial difference in effort in my morning walks. Getting to the full ten will be very marked and provide great benefit. Recommended. Read more

The media could not be loaded. These work. But if i had wanted to strap water bottles onto my legs, I would have done that & not paid $19 for these scratchy cheap HUGE ankle weights. These are: - Filled with sand (i wish it was solid concrete, which takes up less space) - TOO Bulky -- I noticed less range of motion during exercises - TOO TALL 8.25” (slightly taller than a standard 16.9oz waterbottle) — Maybe this height is fine for men? But I am 5’10” female & they went almost halfway up my leg & kept slipping while I exercised. I also wasn't sure if they were working the intended muscles since they go so far up the leg. - straps are so flimsy (actually makes it difficult to strap them on — the strap flies everywhere!) -10 lb each (divided into 5 pieces) -Shift constantly -- I strapped them on as tight as possible. But they still shift around so much it feels like they will fall off. I use only 8 pounds per leg (i take one of the weights out of each so it has 4 instead of 5), but I have not had this issue happen with other ankle weights. So instead I just re-purchased some old ankle weights that I used to own (by Amazon Basics). I recommend the Amazon Basics ones, they are: - 10lb each (divided into 5 pieces) - SOLID concrete (5 pieces of solid concrete) - allows greater range of motion (since they are smaller volume with the same weight). - good height (6” tall) - The weight is actually concentrated around the ankles, where it is supposed to be. - Does not shift constantly & does not feel like it will fall off, even if you take out some of the weights. Well worth the money. Definitely good add-on to leg, glute, hip workouts and when doing pull ups. Even just walking around and lifting your knees up more throughout the day if you can wear them freely. Great deal to get two ten pound weights. I don't find them uncomfortable to wear. I'll definitely wear these when going on walks in addition to a weighted vest. Plan on getting another set to wear on forearms. Read more
