If you're looking for a versatile weighted vest that can handle everything from light walks to more intense cardio or strength work, the AP Weighted Vest offers a solid blend of comfort, adjustability, and safety-focused design. I plan to mainly use it for walking, vibration plate workouts, and chores around the house for added resistance and calorie burn. ✅ Pros ✔ Comfortable, Snug Fit The vest is designed to sit close to the body without bouncing, which is crucial for running and circuit training. The straps provide a secure fit across different body types, keeping the weight evenly distributed. ✔ Multiple Weight Options (8lb–30lb) Having a range of weight levels is great for progressive training. Beginners can start light, while experienced athletes can challenge themselves with higher weights. ✔ Reflective for Outdoor Safety The reflective detailing is a standout feature. It makes early-morning or night workouts—walking, running, or biking—much safer by improving visibility. ✔ Durable Materials Users will appreciate the sturdy stitching and dependable fabric. It feels built to withstand sweat, stretching, and frequent use. ✔ Color Variety The multiple color options let you pick a style that fits your personality—nice touch for a workout accessory that you'll wear often. ❗Cons ✖ Can Feel Warm During Longer Workouts Like most weighted vests, heat buildup is noticeable if you're training outdoors in the summer or doing high-intensity cardio. ✖ Limited Adjustability on Higher Weights Heavier versions (20lb+) may feel slightly bulkier, and those with smaller frames might find the fit a little restrictive. ✖ Not Modular The weight isn't adjustable within each vest size (e.g., the 20lb vest stays 20lb). If you want fine‑tuned progression, you'll need multiple vests. ⚙️ Best Uses Walking & Hiking Running & Jogging HIIT / Circuit Training Bodyweight Workouts Strength Conditioning Vibration plate It’s especially great for anyone wanting to increase calorie burn or add moderate resistance without using dumbbells or bands. ⭐ Overall Rating: 4/ 5 A reliable, comfortable, and safe weighted vest with good build quality and a variety of weight options. A strong choice for beginners and intermediate athletes who want a vest that works across multiple training styles—especially outdoor workouts where reflectivity matters. I did have a issue with removing the snap buckle in the front of the weighted vest. I was unsuccessful at removing it by pushing in the releases on each side. I did have to remove the strap to get the vest off the first time. With a different angle, after taking it off, I was able to remove the buckle. I would have rated 5 stars if not for the difficulty that I encountered with the buckle. Still a solid weighted vest option that distributes the weight evenly. Read more

This is a review of the 20lb version of this vest. They sell a variety of weights, and I assume that most of what I have to say would be applicable to all the versions. The vest is made of a soft outer material and filled with some type of granular material (to give it weight). The material and stitching seem sturdy enough that I have not seen and don't expects any leaks from it. The vest has two adjustable chest straps to hold it in place when you are wearing it. It does sit up high on your chest/shoulders so the weight is on your shoulders and upper back - different from what you would experience with a large camping/hiking backpack. The vest also includes a phone/bottle/misc holder that can strap around your arm. It is padded with two compartments that both zip fully closed. The upper compartment has an access hold for wired headphone wires to go through. What weight you decide to get in this vest will depending greatly upon your size, physical conditions, and what you are looking to achieve. I decided on a heavier vest because I am looking to use this to help boost both my strength and cardio capacities. You don't necessarily need a lot of weight to do that, but for my purposes 20 lbs was the best option. Ideally, I would get a set of these vests in varying weights to use for different activities or training situations. Read more

I’ve tried a few weighted vests over the years for adding resistance to my daily walks, and this CAP one in the 20lb range (adjustable from 8-30lbs) has turned out to be the sweet spot for me. My heavier 30lb vest feels too intense on anything over a mile—my shoulders and lower back start complaining pretty quick—and the 12lb one doesn’t give enough challenge to make a noticeable difference. This vest sits right in the middle; I can load it to about 20-22lbs and do 1-2 mile brisk walks without it feeling punishing, but it still adds enough effort that my heart rate climbs and the workout feels worthwhile. The vest itself is straightforward and comfortable for walking: the weight plates distribute evenly across the front and back, so it doesn’t pull forward or dig into my neck. The reflective strips are a nice touch for early morning or evening walks when visibility matters. It fits snug with adjustable straps and Velcro closures that stay put without shifting around. Material is durable nylon with some padding in the shoulders—nothing fancy, but it doesn’t chafe or get too sweaty after 45 minutes or so. I like that it’s adjustable in smaller increments, so I can fine-tune the load depending on the day or how I’m feeling. For cardio-focused walks, running short intervals, or even adding some bodyweight strength elements at home, this weight range has been perfect for my current fitness level. If you’re in that awkward spot between “too light” and “too heavy,” this vest is a practical, no-nonsense choice that hits the mark without overcomplicating things. Read more
