I was shocked to see what a great job this product this did. I have beige thick shag carpet that often gets dirty. I tried Stanley Steamer and other products but this one was by far the best. Spray. Brush dirty spots lightly. Wait. Vacuum. Just when I thought the dirty spots in the hallway could not be cleaned ... Capture removed them easily. I was at my wit's end with trying to get stains out of an older carpet. I read the reviews about this and gave it a try. Not only did it get up some extremely bad dog urine stains, it also made the carpet feel softer. Most carpet cleaners I've tried make the carpet feel crunchy and leave behind a really disgusting odor. This did neither of those. I then tried it with the powder (Capture Carpet & Rug Dry Cleaner) and I've been extremely happy with how well they clean when used together. I'm giving it 4 stars because sometimes the sprayer leaks (near the nozzle) and that's quite frustrating. Read more

I don’t think this product did much to clean my shag rug. It’s a cream color and I wish I would have taken a before and after picture. It made the fibers stand up a little more. It felt fuller then before but the fibers didn’t appear any cleaner. If it did anything it was hard to tell. Read more

I have been using this product for years along with the powder and it even gets out red wine. I also bought antique chairs at a store and one was stained. This product took the stain right out. I do not know how it works without the powder to go with it. Read more
