I bought this to use in Summer heat while working outside. As a pale skin person, I burn easier and find sunscreen has to be reapplied too often during a long workday. A long sleeve shirt is good but can be hot. This shirt is lightweight, cool, breathable, and protects from sunburn. When I sweat, it dries quickly, and I don't feel weighed down like I do with cotton shirts. With the hoodie and a baseball cap I can keep "redneck" from happening.
