The Carhartt Men's Long Sleeve Workwear Henley has a lot going for it. First, it's not just another T-shirt made of thin knit fabric with a Henley placket. Its fabric is much more substantial, so it comes across as an honest-to-goodness shirt rather than an undershirt. Also, the fabric is not completely smooth, but has a little texture to it. The workmanship of the shirt is also favorably impressive, as it appears to be built strong with well-stitched seams. And, unlike some Henleys, it has a pocket, which I find very useful. Second, the sizing is excellent, at least for me. I'm about 6-4 with a 36 or 37 sleeve and this shirt in Large Tall is actually long enough. After washing, it is still long enough, so shrinkage has been minimal thus far (although I have read that non-pre-washed Carhartt clothing takes about three washings to reach its final size). The sleeves could shrink an inch or more and still fit acceptably. Third, it's available in a variety of colors: light or dark, bright or subdued. I've seen several of the colors. The Black is a rich black, not faded. The Navy is a true dark blue, not the grayish blue I've noted in a Henley from another maker. Desert is similar to dark khaki, but not so greenish as khaki. One of the better long sleeved Henley work shirts. I wear these in a light to medium paced cold work environment. Medium-weight cotton, seems well constructed, made in Guatemala. Fits somewhat large and with slightly longer than expected sleeves. Good for single layer use in cooler weather or as part of multi-layer use in sub-zero work environments. I usually use mine as a middle or outer layer; it's somewhat larger size allows me to move around while the longer sleeves keep wrist area covered. Read more
