I've been a big fan of Carhartt jackets for years, so I finally decided to try their jeans. I got a pair and honestly, they're solid. The fit is spot on for me. They're mid-rise, sitting just below the waist, with a closer fit through the seat and thigh that tapers to a straight leg opening. Nothing too baggy or too tight, just comfortable like regular jeans but with that workwear toughness. The material is durable, abrasion-resistant denim that feels like it'll hold up to real use, and it has this Rugged Flex stretch built in so they move with you instead of feeling stiff. Pockets are practical with five total, including ones that easily hold my phone without any hassle. These carhartt jeans are very comfortable! I usually wear carpenter jeans, and have come to really rely on the leg pocket, but these pants worked great for me. The pockets are all large and spacious enough to hold my phone, wallet and other items. I carry a rectangular flashlight and pocket knife, and both clip nicely inside the front pockets. These jeans fit as sized. I am 5'11" 128 lbs. I was getting 30 waist size, but many of the pants pockets were too small so I now wear 32x32. These pants are very comfortable, and move pretty well with me as I walk. They don't rub or make me uncomfortable anywhere. They were well built, and I am hoping they will hold up for a long time. The denim is nice and thick, and the color is nice and dark. It hasn't faded much after machine washing and drying, and the pants didn't really shrink at all. The zipper is strong and functions well and easily. I really like the button closure, as it is strong and sturdy, compared to other pants that have loosely sewn buttons. These are good jeans to work in, while looking professional. I was starting to move away from jeans and wearing more work pants, but these are comfortable and function well so I may consider getting more in the future. So I have one, small issue with these jeans, but overall they are very good. A lot of clothes tend to fit me really big, but these were about as accurate as it gets, so fit here is pretty good. One of my favorite features on these jeans is the ultra-wide fob pocket, which extends all the way from the side-seam... something I've never actually seen before. This gives that pocket a ton of space, which I like to occupy with my ultra slim wallet. On most pairs of jeans that I own, it's a tight fit, but there's plenty of room here with the Carhartts. Lastly, I have to comment on the quality... which is top notch. They have a distinct "heaviness" to them, and you can really feel the difference between these and a budget pair of jeans. They really live up to the designated "rugged" moniker from the listing. So I do have one issue with these - they might be a bit too thick to wear during the summer... which gets pretty hot down here in southern California. That previously mentioned "heaviness" might not allow them to breath as well as a cheaper pair of jeans would. I still plan on wearing these most days out of the year, so it's not a huge deal in the long run. Still gonna be 5/5 stars from me. Read more
