Finally, the manufacturer made it right and got convinced with what I have been trying to tell them about this scooter, they sent me a brand new scooter for all the time and all the enhancements that I had to do to make this scooter safe to ride. I still have to add the plastic piece on the hand bar to prevent it for folding by itself. Overall the scooter is a very good scooter, my daughter loves it. I see lots of complaints about the battery, MAKE SURE YOU FIRST CHARGE THE BATTERY FOR AT LEAST 48 HOURS before you first ride it or use it. Thank you Caroma…. below is my previous review how unsafe this scooter is, I have been trying to work with the factory to enhance the security of the scooter and possibly a full refund but unfortunately i was unsuccessful, the factory rep "Luna" offered me at first $60 what a joke, then increased it to $80 after I told them I had to buy a new battery as the original stopped charging which cost me $139. At the end I gave up on them, not going to deal with them anymore, I’m going to just buy a new one more secured, DO NOT BUY this product. This unit is completely unsafe for teens or anyone, fasteners use cheap quality and cheap metal not hard or stainless steel. First instruction 6.3 while tightening the lock for the chair bar the small cheap nut stripped and no longer tighten, had to use a different bolt and a nut to keep the chair in place. The latch on instruction 6.2 is secured by a plastic pipe clamp, what a joke, while my teen driving the scooter the latch came apart and luckily she wasn’t going fast. I had to engineer a different method using a 2” PVC coupling that will hold the latch secure in place and not come apart with small bumps on the road. Not happy with the product at all, it has been assembled and used, not willing to drop it off for return, you guys need to come and pick it up if you want it back, need full refund. see pictures attached. I recently returned my Hiboy Max Pro because of tire issues. I spent some time searching for a new scooter and finally decided on the Caroma P7 Scooter. While the price is low, the shipping cost is very high however, upon receiving this scooter today, I can say my first impressions are that it’s pretty awesome. First, be careful opening the box as there are sharp staples, one of which cut my finger. Everything is packaged well and it’s fairly easy to take out of the box. Assembly wasn’t too bad. Tools are provided but the instructions lack a bit so my advice is to YouTube the assembly. The battery comes about half charged. Speaking of battery, that is the only indicator. There is no speed indicator on this scooter. Acceleration is peppy and one of the things I’m most impressed with is when you stop accelerating, the scooter continues at speed for a good period of time before slowing down. Brakes are tight but sorta loud as they are disc brakes. Not bad though. The scooter is also very quiet which is nice. The tires are 14” air filled. I’m skeptical of air filled tires due to past experiences so I hope these are better. The tires absorb the road well which is good because apparently there’s no separate suspension system. The performance of this scooter gives a sense of confidence even when there’s one bar left on the battery. It just feels solid. I haven’t tested the lights yet however, they appear to LED up front. So far it’s great. Maybe not the fanciest out there but sometimes simple is better. Read more

This is an awesome scooter, powerful, high weight limit, fast to recharge and smooth ride with the large 14 inch air tires. This scooter would get 5 stars, but mine is about 60 pounds, would like it 50 pounds or less for easy lifting into back of SUV---also, this is a beach side scooter and never gets wet, however, the seat stem, the handle stem and some connection points are getting lots of rust--even spraying the metal with anti corrosion would have been great But no regrets buying this escooter Read more

i got this so i would have a way to get to and from work tell i could save up for a car and get around the city a little but honestly when im not using it for that i find myself riding it just for fun a lot. you might see ppl talking about the handle bars and how they have a bit of play witch they do but you get use to them and then it's no longer a big deal. i would say it's the only gripe i have with it tho. it dose have street tires so the tread of them are thin witch isn't a bad thing but i would recommend getting some thicker tire tubes, tire goo and bike tire liner if you live in a place with goat head plants or lots of construction. every part has a different warranty on them ranging from 1 mouth to 1 year. one HUGE plus is the customer service. they can only respond ones a day so it dose take time but they will solve your problem. i had a small problem where any time i would try to charge the scooter it wouldn't charge for 10-15 minuets but would charge after. i asked them if this was something i should be worried about and after they had me do a few tests on. during this the problem stopped and i made sure to tell them this but they still sent me a new charger and battery for free. and good thing they did be when i was waiting for the items to come in the problem started again. i was a bit worried if the scooter would have room for both my shoes bc im size 13 in mens but it has enough room. battery life is about 1h and 30m and takes ruffly 6h to charge. bc of the thin tread on the tires you do have to make some wider turns if going full speed but is still ease to ride. at the time of writing this it's $209 witch i think is well worth it. im a bit of a taller guy so i couldn't go for the variation with suspension because it doesn't have a adjustable seat but if your under 5f 10in - 5f 9in i would look into getting it bc it can be a bit bumpy but it's not as bad as you would think, there is suspension in the seat too witch helps.
