I really like this brace; I purchased a second one so I can handwash/ air dry, and I swap them out daily. (The tag says it can be machine washed and dried, but I don’t do laundry every day!) With COVID and the heat & humidity (and sweat and grubbiness) of August it’s nice to have a fresh clean one each night. I use a clean one before bedtime and then wear it through the next day. The brace is well-made, sturdy and comfortable. The tightness is adjustable so you can choose how much support you want. There is a slightly-flexible splint along the back of the wrist and hand, and a firm splint from forearm to palm. The front splint has a tiny bit of give that doesn’t sacrifice support but greatly enhances this brace’s comfort. My hand feels firmly cradled between the back and front splints but it doesn’t get painful or numb the way it has with a completely rigid splint. No palm bruises or soreness. Read more
It is perfect, comfortable, its fit cannot be better, the manufacturing materials are the best, the quality is noticeable, it is discreet compared to another of its kind, it also does not limit the use of your hands, the rigid material that maintains the doll instead does its job perfectly. It took me a little while to get used to wearing this brace. The material that rests between the webbing of your thumb and forefinger rubs the skin there and for me was pretty uncomfortable for probably about a week or so before I finally adjusted and it became less sensitive. It's almost like when you buy a new pair of shoes and have to wear them a few days before it feels right. I don't wear the brace all the time because my wrist pain has started to resolve on its own. However when the pain flares up I put the brace on for a few hours or the rest of the day and it feels much better with the stability. The letters on the brace peeled off pretty quickly, but I'm actually glad about that as I didn't like it. I don't write reviews, but I just could not be happier with this brace! I haven't liked the braces provided by my Drs, so I've bought many others looking for one that works for me. It's comfortable but very supportive! (Completely adjustable and lightly padded inside) No sharp Velcro or tight elastic. Works great at night for the reasons just mentioned, but -- and this is the amazing part -- also allows more freedom of movement so that you can wear it while typing or even writing with a pen! Unless you are a woman with extra large hands I wouldn't go for this wrist guard. It is comfortable enough but too much room in it to give enough support for me. The top Velcro by my palm is too far down to do much where I need it most. I can bend my wrist more than I think I should. I will keep it though because it fits my husband's wrist pretty good. I am ordering the Wellgate brace, (my sister let me try hers) and it fits great! Not surprising as it is made for women. When will people admit women are not the same as men. I am very happy with the glove. I am very impressed that they responded to the criticisms and increased the size of the thumb hole possibly to its limits. I could see no sign of a seam that could bother the thumb. The logo is also more durable and I don’t think it come off. My wrist size is 7 ½ inches, but three inches in my forearm diameter increases to 8 ½ inches. I would have to say that my size should be considered an extra-large. The Velcro strap at the wrist has about an inch of play, but up three inches the Velcro strap is as loose as to still be attached without compression when applying the glove. This is not a complaint, only an observation to aid the next person built as I am. The overall quality of the glove is excellent and I expect it to last for a long time. got org at hospital when my cast was taken off.. long story broke both left wrist bones.. thumb side bones collapsed while in cast.... to old and have Osteoporosis so will not have them rebake and try to pull bone out and pin.. could crack more bones... so wearing this while bone finishes sealing..... doing good cand open, lift and turn... I plan to get a shorter one also...... will be using it on and off when finished healing. keeps the wrist and arm from aching to much..... sleep with it to keep from twisting my wrist to much... it is good AND LIKE A THIRD OF COST OF ORG.
