I got this because I was suffering with the worst case of carpal tunnel syndrome that I've ever had. Prior flare-ups were only at night when I was trying to sleep, but this one had been going on continuously for days, rendering my hand almost unusable. As soon as the brace arrived, I started wearing it pretty much continuously throughout the day, only taking it off whenever I went to the restroom, washed my hands, or took a shower. I also slept with it on. After 24 hours my hand was MUCH, MUCH better. I wore it for 2-3 days "continuously" as described above, and then I wore it to bed only for another week or so. Now my hand feels normal again! It's very lightweight and comfortable, as long as you don't pull the straps too tight when you put it on, but if you do, it can be easily readjusted. I found that having it tight felt good for a few minutes, but eventually it was uncomfortable because it was restricting blood flow, so I started wearing it looser. It's also very breathable, so it doesn't make my hand sweat. Can I tell you that this is the best wrist brace out there? No, because it's the only one I've tried. I tend to sleep with my wrists bent and I also spend a lot of time reading on my kindle, also with my wrist bent. It was really starting to bother me and I couldn’t find the brace I knew I already had somewhere. I decided to order a new set around 1am and it was at my door by the time I woke up which is amazing. On top of that, the material is comfortable, breathable, and well made. The brace is sturdy and fits perfectly so that my wrist is kept supported and I don’t accidentally put myself in more pain.
