I have two dogs that I swear shed more fur than their bodies even hold. Plus I have guinea pigs. If you've ever had guinea pigs, you know their hay gets everywhere. There is no escaping it. And nothing breaks a vacuum like hay. So I had high hopes for this tool. It comes disassembled, but it's very easy to put together. It adjusts up to 59" which surprised me because so many telescoping tools stop short. I think this would accommodate most people comfortably. It also comes with a glove, but I have no idea what the glove is for, and nowhere in the packaging or in the product description does it ever mention the glove either. Very strange. The glove is rubber with little spiky things so I assume it's also meant to grab fur from carpets? Or from the animals themselves? Your guess is as good as mine. The actual tool has two sides: a metal one and a rubber one. It says the rubber is for more delicate fabrics while the metal for more robust ones. But I tried both on my carpet. I started with metal and nothing much happened. I know there was fur and hay in my carpet as I tested by the guinea pig cage. But there was nothing in the teeth of the rake nor a pile on the carpet. So I switched to the rubber side, and here we had some success! Nothing stuck to the tool, but it did scrape everything into a pile. I grabbed some to show in a pic. That's super helpful because the more I can scoop and pick up, the less that gets clogged in my vacuum. It's not hard to rake. A little more strenuous than sweeping since it does take some pressure. Obviously doing a whole house will be a pain, but it's part of pet ownership. I imagine I will use this little rake often. I'm hoping it will extend the life of my vacuum and my carpet. Read more

This carpet rake does a decent job at removing pet hair, especially from rugs where vacuums only skim the surface. The metal side lifts embedded hair from low to medium pile carpet, and the silicone side is gentle on couches and other fabric furniture. The adjustable handle is convenient and reduces bending, which is a plus for longer cleaning sessions. That said, the handle does not feel premium, and the scraping action can be a bit aggressive if you are not careful. Hair tends to collect in piles rather than staying on the rake for easy disposal, so it is not ideal for very large areas. It works as a helpful supplement to vacuuming, but it does not replace it. Overall, it is effective for small spaces, door mats, car seats, or concentrated pet hair areas, but at this price point, it feels like a standard option rather than a standout. Read more

The MOCOOY Carpet Rake for Pet Hair Removal has outperformed all of the pet hair removal tools I have used for my carpets and couches and furniture. From the moment I took it out of the box, I could tell this was built to last — the combination of sturdy metal and flexible silicone makes it feel both strong and easy on fabrics. The adjustable long handle extends up to 59″, which is a huge plus for reaching deep into rugs, under beds, and along baseboards without straining my back. The instant I used it on my living room rug, I saw results because the device picked up hair which I had failed to remove with vacuums and lint rollers. The design is simple but incredibly effective. The scraping edge which consists of silicone material sticks to pet hair while it safely removes the hair without harming carpet fibers. The metal scraper portion gives enough rigidity to pull out hair deeply entangled in mats and high‑traffic areas. It works equally well on couches, car seats, throw rugs, and even fabric chairs — and I love that it doesn’t require batteries, attachments, or refills like some other pet hair tools do. The tool allows users to collect hair as it builds up into organized piles which they can either sweep away or remove from the rake using their hands. The handle provides a firm grip which feels good during use, and its adjustable length feature allows everyone in the household to operate it comfortably. The product has maintained its original appearance and functionality after I used it weekly for several weeks. For pet owners dealing with shedding cats or dogs, this carpet rake has become an indispensable tool in my cleaning routine. The product offers great value because it effectively removes all pet hair from my home while its strong construction enables long-term use. Read more

I really was hoping this was going to work. I tried out both sides on different fabrics and nothing. I don't have a high pile carpet and it might work better on something thicker but not mine. I have 2 dogs and 4 cats in the house to give an idea of home much fur is around. Read more

This carpet rake works better than I had anticipated. I got it because I have four dogs which are not shedders but still lose hair. A vacuum cleaner works wonderful, except for those pet hairs that have gotten intertwined in the carpet fabrics. I have learned that can easily happen as the pups roll around or simply by walking over the carpet. I vacuum on average three times a week, and use one side of this carpet rake in between. I have been surprised at the amount of hair I collect with the rake. On the other side of the rake is a smooth side to use on cloth furniture for hair removal. I have leather furniture so have not utilized this side. This is a tool I wish I would have had a long while back. I believe every pet owner could really appreciate owning one of these. Read more
