Best soap dish I’ve found. Nice hinge that doesn’t break off plus it has vents so it can dry on the inside. Haven’t had any problems with anything leaking out the vents because they are designed to vent from the center of the case, not where the water lays. Highly recommended! Read more

I rarely write positive reviews but felt like I had to in this case. First off, ignore the completely unhinged negative reviews about people complaining about this thing because they can't fit their city brick sized block of soap in here. News flash, you can cut off a chunk for travel -which is what I did. I was able to fit body wash, shampoo, and conditioner all in the same case by cutting them into thirds. No leaks, no problems. More importantly, no leaky liquid shampoo bottles exploding over everything. But best of all, is the lifetime support they offer -for a freaking soap container of all things. This last tidbit is what made me pull the trigger on this compared to other offerings from different companies. So even if you do have something break you can just get it replaced. A sorta buy it for life soap case. Only way they could make this better is if it were made in USA and not china like another review pointed out. Read more

I bought this bar soap holder because I don’t like leaving my bar of soap in a shared bathroom. It fits my dial bar soap and closes great. I flip it and the water remaining drains well. The lanyard is a great addition. I have not dropped it yet but it seems durable. So far love it! Def recommend! Read more

I travel full-time and I went through a lot of soap dishes before this one. They normally last less than a year, but I've had this one for 18 months now, and the dish itself is still perfectly intact. Sometimes the catch for closing it slips out and I have to put it back in again, and it's starting to split, so that's the weak spot that I expect will ultimately fail, but it's still withstood the test of time better than any other I've found. It has a handy strap which makes it easy to hang on the portable hanger I travel with, but it doesn't reliably hold the soap in while the dish is open and hanging from the strap. The air hole is raised so it doesn't leak as much, but it does a little bit occasionally, so I'm careful where I put it in my luggage. But overall, it's still the best soap dish I've had. Read more

September 2025 update. The lanyard broke of today. Also, this dish works fairly well, but it needs air circulation. Stowing it deep in a shower bag will end in messy soft soap. Kent Previous review. I ruined a good bar of Grandpa Pine Tar soap with my last travel container. It just wouldn't let the soap dry, and I ended up with a mostly useless bit of mush. This container claimed to be the solution, and I think it is. After my shower last night I put another bar into this new container and hung it in the shower next to the curtain (not great ventilation). In the photo you can see a tiny bit of yellow at the top of the hinge. This is a string I guess to hang the container, which I did. This means the bar hung on it's end. The next morning I found a bit of water still in the bottom of the container, but the bar was about as dry as if you had left it out in an open dish. It's a lot sturdier than my last soap container too. I'm happy. Read more

I love this soap bar case and it is the only one I use for travel. I got a new one because I lost the one I got a couple of years ago. The client support is great too. The lock strap broke, I wrote an email to Portineer and they sent me the broken part (plus a couple of extra ones) free of charge in just a few days. Read more

This works. It's just a soap dish so don't expect it to do magic things. I wanted a dish that can use to travel with a bar of soap that would not leak. I found this and thought I'd give it a try because it also allowed the soap to dry out. The previous dish I had sealed up just fine and I could have a super wet bar of soap that did not leak. However, it was mush when I tried to use it. Other dishes allow the soap to dry but you have to make sure it's not wet or else your entire toilet kit is a mess. Overall, this thing just works. Take a shower, put the soap int eh dish, and it keeps the soap from leaking over your stuff and allows it to dry. Now... as some people have said, you can't put the soap in the dish with a bunch of water and expect it do not leak...too much water and its going to find a way out. However, if you put the soap in the dish after you take a shower and minimize the amount of water gets in, you should be fine. Just takes a bit of finesse but not a big deal at all. I also like the fact that the company will send you replacement parts for life and its a small family company so its nice to support a guy that had an idea and made it into a reality. Read more

While this travel soap case is a little flatter than some, you will easily pack the fattest bars in here. The latch to keep this thing closed seems indestructible. Unless you drop this from a plane, it seems pretty sturdy and will serve many years faithfully. Didn't find any leakage at all. All snug and secure. Not sure if I'll ever use the lanyard but nice that is there. The soap case weighs as much as a hummingbird on a diet. Highly recommended. Read more
