I got this jacket for my son. He wears it all the time. I’m really impressed with this jacket. The material is soft, quiet, and comfortable — perfect for staying stealthy while out hunting. It keeps me warm without feeling bulky, and the waterproof fabric works well in light rain or damp conditions. This seems like a great jacket. It's pretty warm for cool temps, but would need to be worn over other layers in cold weather. It's water repellant, and has a comfy fleece lining. The cuffs have adjustable closures, and the camo pattern is great. It features velcro on the sleeves for attaching patches if you wish. The size I ordered fits perfectly, but you might want a size up if you plan to wear several layers underneath. It's very quiet, me stepping on leaves will make way more noise than this jacket would ever make. It has several zippered pockets which is great for carrying small items around. The main pockets have plastic D rings in them. I don't know what you would attach to them, but they're there. It also has a loop attached inside the collar, if you need to hang it on a hook. Now the negatives. The main pockets which would usually be low on the sides, are located much higher and further in towards the center. They are on the chest as opposed to the hips, which is awkward, and makes them smaller. Also, quite a bit of the hood's drawstring is exposed going up the sides of the hood, which seems odd. Inside the collar there is a rectangle flap with 2 velcro tabs, which is made of the outer camo material. You can either stand it up and velcro it to the inside of the hood, or just leave it dangling. I have no idea what it's for. It's odd, and seems unneccessary. Awesome jacket for the price. Wanted something a bit more than a shell. This is perfect. Zipper is fine if you know how to use zippers. Hood not too big by any means. Has a nice little visor as well. Stops the wind. First rain on it was no problem. Not a rain jacket but sheds droplets. Fit is right on for me. Camo is very nice and nice coloring. More zippered pockets than I will ever use but you never know. Vents under the arms are a nice touch. Very sharp looking, functional great deal. Read more
I just knew that due to the price of this jacket, it was going to be garbage, but because my son wanted it, I bought it. MAN WAS I WRONG! This jacket is great! It's not heavy but the fleece lining makes it very warm. The quality is top notch. I will say that the picture and the description, does NOT due it any justice. I loved the material, both inside and outside. It’s comfortable, but somewhat loud (like a windbreaker). It’s very warm and lots of useful pockets, but it was way too tight in the shoulders to have range of motion. The hood is huge also and I wish it was removable. Read more
The jacket is comfortable and the material is quiet when in motion which is essential for bird photography. It is adjustable at the waist and shoulder areas to fit different body types. The XL had room for wearing long sleeve shirts underneath without feeling too snug. There are zipper pockets everywhere in the chest, arm and even in the back waist area for stashing gear. The only negative for me was the front pockets which are high up on the chest versus down in the waist area. They are made for easy access when sitting in a blind but are a little awkward when just walking and needing to have your hands in your pockets for warmth. I am not sure what the low zippered pockets in the back are used for. The hood has a built in visor and the entire hood can rolled up and stashed away in warmer weather by a velcro strap provided for that purpose.
