Just tried it this morning on my keto-bread french toast. As my first experience with this syrup, I was prepared for something REALLY runny, as some reviewers found; not really. Maybe not as thick as sugary maple syrup, but it didn't run all over the place either. The flavor was amazing! It actually took my mouth by surprise, it was THAT good! I'll never go back to sugary syrup as long as Cary's is available. My body doesn't need all the sugar and carbs anymore, so this makes pancake syrup an easy one to scratch from my list of high carb sources. I'll bet you can even slip this into your kids' diet and they'll hardly taste the difference. Let's talk about the REAL cost of Cary's syrup. It's currently sitting at the #3 spot on Amazon's Best Seller list, with ChocZero at #2. Follow along and I'll show you exactly how much cheaper Cary's is than ChocZero. You have to be careful when comparing the two as the the units of measure are totally different. Cary's is in FLUID OUNCES, where ChocZero is WEIGHT IN OUNCES. To sort through the mess, look on the nutrition label for each and you can do a comparison using tablespoons as your unit of measure for both. ChocZero has one serving as ONE tablespoon and about 15 servings per container. That's 15 tablespoons of syrup for $9.99 (the current selling price), or $0.67 per tablespoon! For Cary's, one serving is TWO tablespoons and about 24 servings per container. That's 48 tablespoons of syrup for $3.99, or about $0.08 per tablespoon!! That makes ChocZero EIGHT TIMES more expensive than Cary's!! Sorry for all the math (I'm a retired electronic engineer). I was getting frustrated at the different units of measure making it VERY difficult to make A/B comparisons. Hopefully this will help you to maximize your savings as you shop. Read more
If I didn't know that this was a sugar-free syrup, you'd fool me! It tastes like maple syrup to me! I drizzle it on my hot cereal and use in recipes that call for a sweetener. I wasnt sure if it would have an "after taste", so took a chance and purchased the double bottles. I'm so glad that I did and recommend this for those watching their sugar intake. Read more
This sugar-free, zero-calorie syrup tastes surprisingly close to real maple: sweet with maple-caramel notes and a faint vanilla edge, though it lacks the deep, woody complexity of the real thing. Read more
Best tasting and thickness of all the sugarless syrups I've tried and the price was great for this size. Read more
Perfect sugar free syrup. It's hard to find in stores. My mom uses it because of her diabetes. I finally tried it and I actually like it better then the name brands with lots of sugar. Read more
