I bought this towel set because I saw “mercerized cotton” in the title and thought, “Yeah, sure, that sounds expensive and sciencey.” I still don’t know what it means. I think it’s a fancy way of saying “extra soft and slightly shiny”? Or maybe the cotton got its PhD? Either way, I’m not questioning it. These towels are soft, absorbent, and — here’s the kicker — they actually dry you off. Not just move the water around like some decorative spa towel that hates its job. They feel sturdy, wash beautifully, and make my bathroom look like I have my life somewhat together, even though I 100% do not. They’re not that super thick “I live in a luxury resort” towel (we’re not there yet emotionally), but they’re also not scratchy motel towels that double as loofahs. They’re the Goldilocks of towels: just right. If you want a set that feels fancy, looks nice hanging up, and lets you say “it’s 100% mercerized cotton” out loud like you know what that means — this is the one. Read more

Wash seperately a couple of times. Color does bleed some. Sheds lots of lint in dryer. But the color is nice, the sizes are perfect. Light weight, not too thick, absorb water fairly well. Not perfect but not bad for the price. Read more

So far I really like my new bath towels. The old ones had a stitching design at the end of the towel that eventually caused holes and tearing. I tried to find a bath towel without the stitching so I could avoid premature ripping. It's too early to tell about that with my new Casa Platino Towels. I've washed them once (out of the packaging before use) and have used them a few times. I bought two pack so four full size bath towels were included. Haven't needed to do the laundry yet, but so far I love them. The bath towels are oversized which is great for my not zero sized body. The washclothes seem a little abrasive, but that could be because they are new. And I'm taking advantage of that to appreciate them as a helpful exfoliant to clean out my pores and nooks and crannies so I look more appealing to the ladies. Let's not kid ourselves. These are bath towels. Not magic towels. So far there's nothing not to like. Read more
