The media could not be loaded. This jewelry box has a lot of nice storage options, especially for rings and earrings. All of the separate little compartments help keep your jewelry organized with less possibility of pieces getting entangled. It latches tightly and is lined with a velvet material. The handle makes it convenient to move the box with just one hand. The lock might be helpful for keeping others from borrowing or playing with your jewelry. The mirror is also a nice addition. It did take me awhile to figure out how to unlatch it. So, to save you the time, just push the little knob on the left, to the right. Overall this jewelry box is nice looking. The outside is described as covered in leather, but feels like a plastic material. I can see the underside of this material on the handle and it appears to be a vinyl or plastic covering. I felt a need to air out the inside for a day or so, before using it. Price wise, it seems comparable with similar jewelry boxes. I took one star off for the erroneous description of leather. This product is certainly worth every penny, it is positively lovely. I love both the style and design, it reminds me of a mini suitcase for jewelry. It is simple, but very stylish, there isn’t an aspect of this jewelry box that I don’t like. It appears to be constructed well, I can’t get over how sturdy it is, the box itself is strong and the material feels really thick. I love the cream color, such a great shade for this type of accessory. The centerpiece of this box is the heart latch on the front, absolutely adorable. It really adds beauty to the box, the gold against the cream really pops, it’s such a unique idea for a latch/lock. The latch works extremely well, the entire mechanism operates smoothly. There is a beautiful little key for locking the box, however, you cannot leave the key dangling from the lock. The key is too long and the end of it is “U” shaped; it does not have teeth/notches like a traditional key. The inside of the box is the star. It has a myriad of slots and trays for a variety of accessories. A couple compartments are covered. There is a cute mirror under the lid and when you open the box, the bottom tray pops out automatically, giving the box a layered look. The bottom of the box is lined with black smooth material which I like. There is some weight to the box, it is not chintzy. The handle on top is such a cute addition, it is accented with gold hoops. I ordered this for a granddaughter as it is a great idea for young ladies. Her collection of jewels are all costume, but she will have an awesome time loading this box with her treasures.
