Yes, this is an excellent oil and I've use it for decades on both of my vehicles. However. No matter how good the oil is that you put in your engine, if you base your oil change intervals on what it says on the container (in this case 15,000 miles) you will destroy your engine. Change your oil every 5,000 miles or twice per year, which ever comes first. That's it. Oil changes are inexpensive, your engine is not. I just completed a top-end restoration on my 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 6.0 that has had its oil changed as stated above for 23 years. Regardless of the weight your car needs, Castrol is an excellent oil and I've used it since early 80's in everything I've owned. Never had any engine problems with any car I've used this in.
